What's the Attraction?

Prompted by the "How Much Would You Pay" series of threads, and some others, I'm wondering what the source of the appeal is for these celebrities?

Are you interested because they're hot? Because their characters on TV or wherever intrigue you? Or because the idea of doing it with a celeb is itself a turn on.

Have to say that in my case the third motive is a non-factor. Especially given the cost factor that accompanies fame. Mind you, every one who's been featured in these threads is more than hot enough to float my boat.

I compared those celebrities with many of the showcases here on eccie.

There are a lot more desireable, sexy (and available) ladies right here...

What's not to like about that?

Probably just a change of pace.

Some like to visit pornstars and often pay a premium for the privilege. So its not a far jump to want to visit a celebrity. I do not thinck the ladies here feel threatened or slighted.

What's NOT sexy about a beautiful, successful woman? The celebrity angle doesn't add anything for me, but we know who they are because of it.

Pyramider, I kinda resent this comment. It's tone is rude and disrespectful. I didn't know any of them either. The term "celebrity" refers to someone who is well known and easily recognized.

Having an interest in an agency that works the country music sector, with that comes the opportunity to meet and spend some time with a few of them, well quite a few really...

How would I sum it up?

They are people just like you and I, just they are making money off the public in general instead of the private sector of the world.

These how much would you pay threads are kind of humorous in the sense that the figures in the poll are so unrealistic. No disrespect to the incomes of many providers or the random porn star that tours, these "celebrities" make a lot of money. Like $1000 (high end of the poll) is going to entice Ms. Lilly to bump uglies with Joe Hobbyist?

As for the allure, as I think the OP was getting at I think it comes down to 2 things, beyond the fact that these are attractive women:

1) Trophy Fuck. They are desired by a lot of guys. You got her. "Hey, I banged so & so"

2) You feel like you know them (or their fictional character) & relate to them on an personal level. You really want to "date" say "Rachel" from "Friends" -- afterall you've been watching her for years.

How was I rude and disrespectful to you? I made a comment to TTH, who I have had the pleasure of bantering with on other SHMBs.
