I'm not delusional enough to think that last night means any more than a 1-0 start....but, damn, it was nice to see them kick the Giants' ass. I never saw a Cowboy win as even a remote possiblity. As the game wore on, I kept thinking "Well, at least we're giving a decent account of ourselves before the roof falls in and we fold and give the game away." Damn if we didn't tough it out.
When Romo threw that ball into traffic while he was under pressure and it got picked off, I thought "Oh boy, here we go again." But, he was perfect after that....129 QB rating with an interception is as good as it gets.
We might have a fun team to watch this year....DeMarco Murray picked up right where he left off before his injury last year. Ogletree stepped up looking like he can fill Laurent Robinson's shoes. Dez made some nice plays. Even the passes Eli completed were contested by our new defensive backfield....and he was getting pressure all night long. And, if Romo keeps getting the protection he got last night, this will be his best year ever. Damn, he looked sharp!
That offensive line is a worry. But, they held the Giants to what? Two sacks last night? And generally were giving Romo enough time to do what he did. And he was taking snaps from a center we picked up last week!
