I use auto-pay because the only bad things I have found with Cirro is that they will cut you off if you're a day or two late and they have a steep late charge. That said, I haven't broke $100/month since switching. I was usually between $170-200 during the summer with TXU.

I've been a fan of Direct Energy for years. The price, while not the best, is reasonable. And their customer service is top notch.

Let me give you an idea. About 4-5 years ago I moved into a new apartment. The meter was bad and my bill was WAAAAY off. As in I had a $15 electricity bill on an 800 square foot apartment, with tons of electronics running 24/7, in the middle of summer. I called them about it a couple of times to tell them about it, but nothing ever came from it.

After about a year they went back and retroactively billed me for the correct amount. It took 1 call to customer service, 15 minutes in total where I spoke to two people, and they wiped the bill.

Have any of you changed and if so, who do you recommend.
I currently have TXU and was "shocked" by my most recent bill.

Thanks.

OFF :-)

I know. When I called to pay my bill, I asked them if they were going to buy me dinner or jewelry first.
