Joe Biden is a Happy Man Now!
The Akin kerfuffle may be the most exciting news for Joe Biden in a long time.
Looks like he'll get to relinquish his title of "Gaffe Generator of the Year!"
And Akin didn't even need a series of episodes, like Biden. He scored a knockout punch with one ultragaffe!

Democrats circle the wagon, and Republicans circle the firing squad.
There are plenty of examples (Kennedy, Biden, Byrd, Rangel, et al), but a good example is Jerry Studds, Democrat.
He was an acknowledge pedophile.....but also charged was Republican Dan Crane; Crane left the House in disgrace !....But unbelieveably the Democratic party elevated Studds status in the House, and unbelieveably applauded him for hanging tough against the charges....
The Democrats have no morality; they believe in a "whatever it takes" philosphy. That includes lying, stealing, cheating, and yes, sexual misconduct with minors.

That was really unfair to say that about Ghenghis. I'm sure that some women submitted voluntarily. Bill Clinton doesn't have thousands of offspring.

I think that it is admirable that he did not bow to pressure to withdraw and remain on the ballot.
An engineer by profession and not a genuine po0litical hack.
I have a senator that will be getting an email from me for being one of the shooters in the circular firing squad. I am thinking he may need to withstand a primary challenge.

Toast
It is amazing how the mouth can ruin a career so quickly.
The guy had the race pretty much wrapped up until he said something really stupid.
All he had to do was keep his mouth shut!
. . . Now, he is toast!

Always amazing to watch a bunch of middle aged white guys, at least middle class economically, claiming to have the moral right to tell what a lady should do to a fetus, as a result of being a rape victim

Just as I suspected, it appears that this new PPI poll of the Missouri Senate race, taken after Akin's stupid remark, is flawed. It gave him a 1% advantage over McCaskill. This was the same result as a poll taken before this remark. But this latest poll oversampled Republicans by +9. The D/R/I on this survey is 30/39/32. This Democrat polling firm has a history of oversampling Democrats in most of its other polls. Gee, I wonder why they would oversample Republicans in this latest poll? Does anybody else here smell a skunk, besides me?

It simply proves that Akin is a narcissistic, selfish politician interested only in his own power and image to the detriment of the people of the state of Missouri. In other words, a typical Democrat or Republican.
Sounds like this race could be ripe for a Third Party takeover. Are there any third party candidates in Missouri?

I don't disagree with your assessment of Akin and politicians generally. But what is most obvious here, IMO, is that this Democrat polling firm rigged this poll to get a result that would encourage Akin to stay in the race. The Democrats had already spent nearly $2million during the primary to help ensure that Akin would be their opponent. Don't you see an agenda here?
