Obama is rigid
The United States produces 60% of the corn in the entire world. Millions are fed with corn grown by American farmers. The EPA regulations require that 40% of the corn crop go to producing ethanol. There is about to be a severe shortage of corn in the world. A flexible person would know to cancel a regulation when the circumstances warrant.
Even the UN has signed a letter asking that the US set aside this particular reg. They are afraid that millions of people will starve while the US is putting its crops into their gas tanks.
Ethanol is inefficient, produces less energy, is hard on engines, creates more green house gases, and a boondoggle. Still, Obama persists? Why?
With the shortage of grain, ranchers are killing their cattle because the cost of animal food is going up. Next year those cattle will not be fattened but lying in mass grave.
