Will wonders never cease?

Well, looky looky. This is interesting. Click on whatever state/Provinceyou want and then it will show the city or towns you want to view, click on which one you want to view. See if you know any of them.

SPEED TRAPS - NO JOKE...CHECK IT OUT!
I had no idea this was available to everyone.
Do you know the speed traps in your hometown?

I was surprised that a lot of small Texas towns was missing. In doing projects for the past 5 years, I have traveled all over West Texas, Texas Troopers and Sheriffs can be any where. I was heading backing to Lubbock from Andrews. I got to following this guy doing 90 to 95 in his truck. We past Seagraves, and I am trying to keep up with him. He is slowing down, and I am catching up to him. There is Sheriff's Pickup in front of him, so I slowdown and stay behind him. I look in my rear view mirror and there is sheriff's pickup by the county behind me. They followed us into Brownfield. I did not get pulled over, but I did get me wondering for 30 minutes. Someone called in on him.

Yeah, it appears that people fill in the info. Most of what I found in areas I am familiar with was very accurate. So if you are familiar with an area that wasn't included. Add it to help someone else.

Replaced my old Escort the new one severl months ago and it has paid for itself big time. You can down load the red light camera locations and the alarm only goes off when you are getting to a light where the camera is pointed to get you. This thing also has a gps in it that remembers false signals and when u pass them 3 times it locks them out. The ride to and from work and the golf course are very quite so when it does go off I know its trouble or a truck lol.

I strongly sugjest looking into this little baby if you have a heavy right foot.

They had red cameras in Lubbock was big waste of money . They sent tickets only to people in Lubbock and Lubbock county. If you were out of town and out of state, then you did not get a ticket. They got removed six months later after being put up.
What Texas cities have red light cameras?

Red light cameras are all over Houston. I got one at Richmond and Fountainview, Westbound, and also on Harwin and Hilcroft, westbound.
It is not a moving violation but enforced all the same .More of a fund raiser for the city , run by private entities .

Htowner is right in that its a fundraiser for the city.

MOST of the red light cameras I see in Houston are set up in heavy, SLOW traffic intersections - around the more popular malls and panhandler sites.

GRrrrrrr, as I understand it, you can’t protest or appeal one of these red light tickets. I’ve gotten one, and I know I didn’t run the red. I’m actually really careful about yellow lights let alone red ones.

They are putting this program on the November election ballot. I forget who, but some Texas millionaire is spending his own money all over Texas to rid the Great State of such pestilence. Apparently, Jim MacEnvale (sp) is fighting in the opposite direction. For whatever reason, he loves the damn things.

It is just a money maker for the city. I got one of those tickets and it is a company out of AZ that bills you for the city............what kinda nonsense is that?

Okay i know i'm going to flak for this but i always have the app Trapster on my phone while I'm driving i keep it on the dashboard at eye level so i can see where the traps, and live cops are so far its been pretty accurate and i have to admit I've added more then a few locations.
If you don't have i suggest u download it, if u have a heavy foot like i do. So far they haven't asked for a payment but im sure they will the better it gets
