Default City Lights or Country Peace?

Which do you prefer.... The activeness of City life or the peace and serenity of Country life?

I retired from working and living in the city life to the quietness of a lake community.

I'm fortunate enough to have both - I don't prefer one over the other as each have their advantages and disadvantages when comparing to my needs.

I live far out in Rockwall as I can. If I could move further out I would. I want nothing more to have lots of land with animals that wake me up in the morning instead of and alarm clock. The Country is the place for me.

Country life for me; I like being able to have lots of critters and rural living is conducive to letting your animals run amok..including the nekkid manbeast

Both. But if I had to pick one house, I'd pick the city.

I have some land a couple of hours west of Ft. Worth. Plan on retiring there when I get that old. Who knows, maybe by then it won't be in the country anymore.

Great question,

Absolutely loved living in Dallas and other big cities. Can't beat the numerous alternatives of food, music venues, symphonies, plays, etc.

However, being in Lubbock is a slower pace and U can get anywhere in 10 minutes or less. Very low crime rate and very clean air. Also, with an airport, most places are an hour or so away.

Pros and cons on both sides, but I will stick with the country side of things and the local airport

In the boonies 30 miles ne of McKinney. So quiet and peaceful. Can always drive to Dallas for traffic, noise, and pollution.
