Question Looking For German Or Polish Food In Buffalo Today Or Tomorrow

I LOVE authentic German and Polish food. I have never just driven by a German or Polish place in town so I am wondering if there are any? I will be there this evening and tomorrow and I am really craving something like that.
I figured I would make this post because AWESOME Italian places were suggested to me when I made my last post about traveling so I am hoping it will work for this.
Thank you all for your time and suggestions, I can't wait.

Lexxxy, There is a "Polish Villa" in cheektowaga on Harlem near Clinton, also they have a place on Union rd. also in Cheektowaga. There is a German place on Main St. in williamsville, the name escapes me right now though.

Scharf's Schiller Park Restaurant has recently been getting a lot of good press. It's a German restaurant that is about to close that has been around forever. The neighborhood is in decline and this is the reason the owner gives for his problem and lack of customers.

I have never been there, don't really go for German food. I remember how that picture perfect neighborhood used to be in the past. Well it is in decline now. That said it is IMHO still safe enough in the daytime/supper time but I wouldn't go there at night .

Omg go to Scharfs if you can stand the neighborhood. Have been there plenty with my family including 87 year old Grandma and always felt safe. They do NOT mess with patrons as its the only business left there. They just had a fund raiser and news said they got enough to remain open for awhile as they look for somewhere to move. Been there for ever it seems. God I'll take ya there for lunch if you feel the need for an escort lol but you'll be fine especially during the long day light hours. PM me if you want more info. I lived in Germany for 3 years and come from a German family so I can compare it to real food and its good.

Place on Main in Williamsville I consider over priced and not as good. Too trendy.

Now there is another option on Niagara Falls Blvd North of the 290. Recently opened to good reviews (I'd have to look name up) a couple buddies from work went and one is very involved with local German community and goes to Scharfs a lot and confessed the new place is very good too and yes in a better part of town.

Ha! Yeah I agree with Celso 100%. It used to be German town a long long time ago. Like in Germany it's like stepping into a German Guesthause.(sp?) I'm fact it was a house and good old Mrs Scharf used to live upstairs I believe I was told. Get a bottle of her house salad dressing for use at home. We love it as a marinade too. Its old school Buffalo.... walk in to dining room thru front bar. Get a draft German Hefevizen beer. Truth is that's mainly why I go lol

Still new place on blvd supposed to be good. Buddy said his waitress knew German and she was happy to chat with him in German when he went and their pomfrits (french fries) were very good too. Also told me they has German beer knowing I'd never go if they didn't lol

LEXXXY
Polish and German are my two favorite food groups.
NOW your going to have to play food critic and tell us where you went and how the food was.
Don't get my stomach excited and then leave me hanging.
