Default WTF ?

Obama says the private sector is doing just fine. It's the public sector that is hurting.

Is he that out of touch with our economy?

Is this political cover, tossing out a bone to AFSCME?

I think Romney and the GOP have their next political Ad.

Obama is still blaming headwinds. There is a joke there that even I can't tell on here, but it has something to do with his complaint that Michelle doesn't go all the way down. I will think about it for 69 minutes while I eat these burritos. Then maybe.

The Romney response. Romney is showing some real skills in his ability to punch and counter-punch.

Just what we need is more people on the public dole that dont work and cant be fired.
If they would eliminate the public sector unions and start firng the lazy fuckers the rest of them might, and that may be a stretch, see the writing on the wall and give us a days worth of work.
I am not holding my breath. I have see the "employees" at the VA andit is not just sad it is disgusting.

He's truthy. He actually thinks the truth is something that you say over and over and over again and that is what makes it true. Well it's not. The truth is that the economy is doing poorly. He only makes asinine statements like this because he doesn't know what else to do. If he'd have been doing the real job of president instead of the primary job of an incumbent candidate, maybe we wouldn't be back-sliding into a recession.

I suspect that just as most statements by politicians, a lot of it depends how you read it. And what part of the "private sector" you are looking at.

I spend a lot of my working hours in meetings with both gov't and non-gov't people. What I see is the gov't jobs shrinking and the companies hiering. I see the gov't folks going on about 3 years of 0% raises and the contractors/company folks talking about their catch-up raises.

This would be a good time to start downsizing government, then.

The federal government needs to do a lot of shrinking. Most government jobs are overpaid, redundant, featherbedded, makework, affirmative action and unconstitutional.

Obama backs off private sector comment. Apparently the focus group told him it's not as fine as he thought.

COG; Obama hoodwinked you. He didn't back off his private sector comment. Read the story (opening paragraph), the Times misleads readers. Obama's claification was a doubling down on his earlier statement.
