Medications that are extended release should not be cut, as well as enteric coated ones. Cialis works great for me. I use it more for enhancement than absolute need, but what I like about it is you don't have to worry about timing. For me it lasts 48+ hours.

Pills that are scored with a dividing line can always be split (if it's OK with your doctor and the right dosage). Some not scored (like Cialis) can also be split.

I use cialis and it works fine for me. First time I took the whole pill and was hard as a rock! I was fucking better then I did when I was a teen! I now take about 1/3. My erection goes down when sex is over but all it takes is a little touch and I'm ready to go again. Last about 2 days.
As for side effects. The only think I have experienced is headaches. When I took a whole pill it was unbearable but with 1/3 it's just slight kind of like a hangover.
And do ask your doc for free samples. My doc is very generous. I have yet to pay for any. When I'm out I just ask for more.

I forgot to add that if you drink 1 drink is more like 2 and so on. At lest it was for me. I took 1/3 pill on new years eve and was drunker then hell after about 5 beers and I am a professional drunk I might add!
I would suggest if your going to drink take the pill after not before so your not running around the bar with a raging hard on! Could get you into trouble.

Maybe this thread has run its course and is done, but I thought I'd tell you that I've had the same experience again. Have this anti-depression medication that reduces libido and, well, success. I am glad you had a great experience on it! As to my experience with other being on it . . .. .ALWAYS inform a provider that you take enhancers. Cialis. My doctor gave me 3 pills to try. So, what the heck?

I did the trial run of 1/2 a pill, as recommended by him: Supposed to be enough and cuts the cost per use by 50%. It had no noticeable effect at all. 1/2 of a Viagra is powerful stuff for me, in contrast.

For the heck of it, again, I tried a whole Cialis pill last night (see Atlanta spa review). I barely felt it, even after an hour, but could tell it was there in the back of my mind and a gave that special tingle there. I guess it helped a little in those low points of that night's spa experience. I could feel the mild upper-sinus blockage headache, which V also causes in some men.

But, when I returned--about 3 hrs later--was ready to make another go at it. That is unusual for me. The effect was noticeable but not a great effect. During the night afterwards--about 8 hrs later--however, clearly Cialis had its effect and was kind of a pain in the butt to sleep. It still is in effect--20 hrs later--as I get excited a little faster, if I think about anything tantalizing. Mostly, Cialis makes me feel like jumping girl's bones all the time; and, so, for the past day and keep thinking about going back to the spa to waste more money.

Cialis has been 20 hrs now in effect. I don't know when it'll end. Viagra lasts about 8 hrs.

In sum (for me),
a. The brand-name Cialis is about the same cost for brand Viagra that I reported earlier.
b. The effect of Cialis is *much* longer and thus better cost if you have sex many times in a couple days, but
c. Cialis is not as powerful, even comparing 1 full pill against 1/2 a pill of V, so the cost of Cialis is not as good if you have sex only once in the time period,
d. Cialis, unlike V, reduces the refractory period (I think its called that) by many hours. (That is, recovery in 3 hrs later, versus the normal 8 hrs or so.) Think I could do it a third time still, with some inspiration. So, closer to restoring what it was like when I was 18 yrs old.
e. Cialis causes me to think about sex all the time,
f. Both cause a mild upper sinus issue, which one deals with for longer with Cialis.

I hope this personal experience is helpful to someone.
