I beg to differ. Love can make you strong. There are different degrees of love. The love you have for a parent. The love you have for a child, the love you have for your friends. The love you have for good if not great friends. The love you have for a lover. Do they make you weak or do they give you strength? We must accept loves leaves. Parents die, lovers may come and go, children we will love forever. In all of these experiences we grow stronger and more selfless. We, as women, love deeply. Love follows us.
Love is an action word. Do we women on here not do what we do because we love our children? We act upon love. Does this thing we do make us weak, or stronger? It gave me strength and some great friends whom I hold close to my heart.
If some one hurts someone we love, as women we have the power and strength to move heaven and earth to avenge them do we not? It stems from love. Born of love can come the deepest hate.
That is not to say we do not love all those who we "hate". Hate is a strong word to be used with care and prepared to act upon.
It is why I laugh when the "haters" hate. Maybe they love me
Love and loyalty are bedfellows. The friends I love ( you few on here know who you are) I am completely loyal to! I would do anything to assist them should they ask and I am capable.
We as women know that love can be a weapon. One that must never be used, never abused, but we know it is in our arsenal.
Love can be a double edged sword as Khalil Gibran wrote.
When love beckons to you, follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to him,
Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him.
Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the North wind lays waste the garden.
For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you.
Even as he is for your growth so is he for you pruning.
Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,
So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth.
Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself.
He threshes you to make you naked.
He sifts you free from your husks.
He grinds you to whiteness.
He kneads you until you are pliant;
And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God’s sacred feast.
All theses things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of life’s heart.
But in your fear you would seek only love’s peace and love’s pleasure.
Then it is better that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love’s threshing-floor,
In the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears.
Love give naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.
Love possesses not nor would be possessed.
For love is sufficient unto love.
When you love you should not say,
‘God is in my heart,’ but rather, ‘I am in the heart of God.’
And think not that you can direct the course of love, for love. if it finds you worthy, directs your course.
Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.
But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be you desires:
To melt and be like the running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love.
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake up at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving:
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love’s ecstasy:
To return home at eventide with gratitude:
And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise on your lips.
Khalil Gibran.
Even the Imp has his whore who loves him and is loyal to him, as seen on tonights eposide.
I have never read these books og Game Of Thrones. Does it turn into a Zombie vs Dragon type thing?
