I guess seeing the same Dentist or Massage Therapist or Personal Trainer more than once is also a mistake? I have a relationship with anyone I do business with -- a business relationship. The more I see them, the more friendly we become, but I understand where the boundaries are. I think most socially adjusted people are capable of having a friendship with a provider without turning it into "true love" or obsession.

I totally get that many hobbyists desire variety and so wouldn't repeat a provider for that reason. Makes perfect sense. But to not see a provider more than once solely out of fear of attachment seems unreasonably cautious. If a hobbyist has a good experience and is looking for more of the same, I think he can feel confident that most providers won't become obsessed/fall in love with him because he bothered to call again. And I would hope he would trust himself to be able to keep it together as well. I don't have any hard data, but my experience tells me that more hobbyists than not have seen the same provider twice and the sky hasn't fallen in the vast majority of cases.

And from a personal level, I thought you and I had a casual friendship since we met, long before we ever saw each other BCD. We exchanged emails, PMs and commented on each other's posts. Hope that sort of friendship isn't off limits now. We are all human beings and I think most of us, provider and hobbyist alike, respect each other. There are a small minority of board members who love to bring the hate. But don't let yourself get sucked in.

I just found this post and thought it was interesting, especially the above statement. I couldn't disagree more about the not caring comment.

There are many wonderful women I have become acquainted with on this and other boards. My take is that once I find a lady I really click with I want to see her again and again. I can tell you there is one lady still on this board that I have been seeing for about 7 years and I still find myself very excited when I am in her company. Do I care about her? Yes. Do we have a relationship? Certainly. Am I in love with her? NO fu#*ing way and that goes both ways. I can say the same about several ladies here.

I keep seeing over and over again talk about providers disrespecting the hobbyists and vice versa. If they disrespect you, don't see them and move on. I see no reason for these flame fests in a Co-Ed Forum. And then, there's this "it's a carryover from ASPD" crap. To which I say "get over it."


A little mutual respect goes a long ways folks and that does not make you a WK. It makes you a human being. You don't have to tell someone that. They can detect it. I enjoy the ladies I see over and over because to me they are not just some low life whore and to them I'm not just a fat old man with Benjamins. In fact, I credit these ladies with providing me with the intimacy I lack in my marriage of 30 years. Without an outlet for that intimacy, I'm not sure I'd still be married. At best, I would be poorer financially. At worst I could have destroyed what has proven to be a very close relationship with my daughter. As the commercial says: that's priceless.


So, the bottom line is just because it is a relationship doesn't make it a bad thing (I have many professional realtionships). You just got to know where the line is and don't cross over to obsession, compulsion, stalking etc and all psycho-drama that goes with it.

Kara, I always considered you a class act and your comments in this thread just reaffirm that. That is why you were always my ATF in Houston. Not to belittle any of the other providers, but IMHO you always took the #1 slot for brains, beauty, personality, and sincerity.

At the end of the day, we are ALL people...not objects (bodies or ATM machines) to use without regard.

I've had a go with the hobby but have settled into a high level expectation of a provider. I don't want to feel like another dude in the queue.

If done properly (read...Karalynn Kelly), each individual can have a great experience that enriches their lives.

At least....that's how I go about it. I want to be each provider's ATF!!!!

I've always thought that one of the best things about hobby boards is that the psychos and other losers post and out themselves. If you pay attention to what they post, you can often figure out some guy or gal is someone you want to avoid.

Think of these posts as "self posted alerts."

Yes, some people are flame warriors on the board and nice in person, but even then, I sometimes think the online Mr. Hyde is lurking somewhere within the face-to-face Dr. Jekyll.

So, when someone is a jerk on the board take note of it and use a little extra caution when dealing with them.

I must also agree with all the nice comments about Kara. YOW!!!
