Why don't people just start writing what they actually paid, and avoid the confusion, namely whether "$.5" is $50.00 or $150.00? LOL It's obvious the stupid "hobby code" doesn't protect anyone. If you get busted for prostitution, they can prove their case whether the client paid 60 cents, $60.00 or $600.00! It doesn't even need to be money exchanged for there to be a crime. You could trade services for goods and still get busted.

Soo...in your showcase under the "Current Specials" it says "$60 HH SPCL"...does

$60 = Sixty (.6)
or does
$60 = One Hundred Sixty ($60 or $.6)

I don't even get why this has to exist. Can't we just write "150" without a dollar sign and for all anyone watch knows you paid her 150 skittles.

I understand the code, but I hate when someone emails and to confirm if a 2 hour visit with a tour to Greece is: and then just puts a bunch of dollar signs. Usually not even the right amount.

I understand where you're coming from about the ranting and raving, but we DO have control over this issue. If people stopped using the hobby code, then we will affect great change! If mods didn't grant premium access for reviews with hobby code used instead of the actual dollar amount, that would also put a stop to the code's use in a hurry. But I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I'm being sincere when I say I think this was a great thread Vintage. It has shown that the hobby code is "sofa king we Todd did" that we should just write the amount, and call it a day! But you must admit there will always be confusion when it comes to whether or not fractional amounts ($.5, $.9, etc.) means $100 plus the remainder, or just the remainder. Hence, we should just not use the damn code!

But it is what it is!
It's up to the Mods to say what we can or cannot use so I just go by the code and correct the folks whom don't know correct Hobby code. I have been reprimanded numerous times for stating costs on my ads and Showcase so I just go to France and do as the french do.
