I saw Type O Negative when they opened for Motley Crue a long time ago...I still remember Peter Steele stepping to the mike and opening the set by saying, "Consider us your punishment for showing up early!"...And yes, it was a great show...

Holy crap!! Type O Negative was an awesome band! So sad to hear this news.

I remember seeing him on Sally Jesse Raphael a long time ago - he was hilarious but calm.

yeah, i remember seeing Type O opening with Sepultura for Ozzy at the old Southpark meadows before it was turned to shit with all the development..........

i also recall seeing Peter and company coheadline with Coal Chamber at the Austin Music Hall.......... RIP Peter........ you are a dark soul like mine....... hope death treats you better than life................
