Had you read the Snopes response a little more closely you would have found that Gore did not claim to invent (or take credit for) the internet anymore than Ike claimed to invent (or take credit for) the interstate highway system. They both were driving forces behind the actual legislation that allowed those two systems to exist. In simpler terms, there is a huge difference between claiming to invent something and promoting a concept through initiating legislation. Snopes further went on to say that claiming that Gore was trying to take credit for inventing the internet was nothing more than "silly political posturing."

COG, I might add that only a "pompous idiot," like yourself, would be foolish enough to believe otherwise! Perhaps the more appropriate question for this thread would have been:

Who is the bigger idiot?

A) Al Gore
B) Joe Biden
C) COG

If that were the case, COG would win by a landslide!
