Anon3x why be depressed? We have them beat in football, baseball, and wrestling. Not only that they lost a game to us this year (should have been 2 but staying positive) in the one sport where they are ahead of us. Like the old saying goes, "The sun has to shine some time on a gayhawk ass."

I'm depressed because we lost to a piece o' shit team in the 1st round that statistically shot 34% from 3 point range during the regular season and couldn't miss during the game. Not to mention they were a 54% free throw shooting team for the year and hit 78% during the game. What it comes down to is we had a 30 win season, had two amazing battles with KU this year, won the tournament and got booted in the 1st game.
I'm not completely on board with the exit. Yes better exposure, great conference, we should do great in basketball with the exception of playing Kentucky. Hopefully we will destroy Mike Anderson and Arkansas (my new favorite team to hate). Football will be alot tougher imo. The Border War in football grew extemely boring after Ham-gino left
I despise most Jayhawks, particularly those that were born and live in Missouri yet have never ventured past Olathe. When I was down at P&L for the tournament after KU lost to Baylor alot, I mean bunches of what I deemed blue and red clad homo's patted me on the back or shook my hand and said good luck. I was blown away, something I never have done. A few words were thrown back and forth to some A*hole ones about us leaving and the SEC ya's and wont Miz-u. I reminded them that no other conference asked them to join.
I can't even watch the games on now I'm so demolished. But I'm more than hopeful for next year with Pressey, Dixon, Bowers and the three transfers. I'll rehang my diploma tomorrow.

Check out the butthurt ku fan.
So you guys lost in the championship game. Get over it. Nothing to be mad or embarrassed about. ku far exceeded expectations by even being there. ku put up a valiant fight, but Kentucky was "destined" to win it all this year. The best team won.
Now if you want to talk more about all sports other than basketball, and who kicks whos' ass more on a regular basis, we could do that.... but I don't think it would come out to your liking.

Hey pheonix63, I don't think us Jayhawk fans got "zero, zip, nothing, notta". We had 2 more weekends of captivating games, with 2 full weeks of exciting dreams, conversations and media attention. Lawrence experienced an economic boom for those 2 weeks, and seven to eight thousand fans showed up tonight in the fieldhouse to welcome back and thank this bunch of "losers" for a fantastic ride. Oh, and next season we'll get to hoist yet another Final Four banner (but I guess you wouldn't know what one of those looks like.) So I would say we got quite a bit out of it.

Not true. Each member of the team received a final four ring for their troubles. And while that's probably not very satisfying right now it will be something to be proud of for the rest of their lives. I'm not sure if the team received any other trophies or banners for making the final four or championship game.
I'm not a hater so I'm not going to bash Mizzou. They had an excellent team, and an excellent year. I enjoyed watching them play. I'm not sure the move to the SEC is a good move for them though. Mizzou would have been in the top half of the big 12 in football but will likely be in the bottom half of the SEC. Mizzou will likely be in the top half of basketball in the SEC if Haith can recruit, which remains to be seen. But the money is in football.

Someone wants to be a Kansas fan, no issue. Be a fan of whoever you want.
Who I despise is the two team fans. Knew a guy who was a KU fan for basketball and a Nebraska fan for football.
Support your school, win or lose. You can be a bi-sexual, but don't be a bi-sportual.
By the way I always get a kick out of KU fans who, like Self, say they don't care about playing Mizzou - that they are not rivals, but then always come to get a shot at Mizzou whenever they lose. Seems they do care about the rivalry after all.

To everyone that is a ku fan, guess what you still lost. Don't matter that you got a piece of jewlery, a banner, or a hand job, you still lost. To top it off you lost the game that counted the most.

LOL. Jealous much?
If that makes you feel better go with it. But you should keep it to yourself because to the rest of us you just look like a whiney, bitter bitch.

+1. Damn, 63, you really are looking like an ass in this thread. Hmmm, would I have rather gone out in the first round to Norfolk State or made it to the national championship game where the outcome was still in doubt with 2 minutes to go? I'll have to think on that one for a while, tough choice. I'll get back to you on that.
