Down to a few choices. Ladies please help. I've narrowed it down to one pair from three different price ranges. I expected to spend $1,595. Considered spending only $945. Am prepared to spend $3,295. I think that all three will turn heads, but is there a $2,400 difference in appearance?

Fife-Strass - $3,295

Asteroid - $1,595

Lady Peep - $945

It depends on the woman.

You can't go wrong with the Lady Peep. Very classic. She wears jeans, a button-down, and her heels or a boot more often than not. I have a couple of pair of these.

The Asteroid is for the DEFINITE shoe whore, who loves rare styles. She is not afraid to make a statement.

The Fifi Strass is for a lady who loves to sparkle. She has a bright colored car, or you have seen her in sequins on more than one occasion.

You just have to figure out what lady you're shopping for.

Personally, I think the Asteroid's are awful. They look like a weapon, not a shoe.

+1 here. All of them are lovely shoes and stand out in their own way, but really think about what suites your lady the best. Shoe whores like myself woud go for the Asteroid because I havent seen any similar knock offs. The Fifi Strass has a lot of lower end knock offs and the Lady Peep can be easily duplicated as well. The distinct red bottom is really what matters most.

If I were you, I would not buy them on Ebay. Too many yucky fakes on there. You have to have a trained eye to tell the difference with some, because many are mirror image fakes. But there are sellers that have the real deal.

If I were you I would go to the store itself if it's in your area, or go to a department store like you suggested. That way you can really see how they look in person.

Also one more thing....each shoe style fits differently. I am a 37 in some, and a 37.5 to 40 in others! The sizing is not as consistent as American designer shoes.

A nice nude would be great. I have the Pigalle in a camel color which is nude on me because I am a brown color. They're high, but look really sexy.

So I stopped in at the CL Boutique in Highland Park to do my homework. I want to take this special lady to lunch at a nearby restaurant this weekend and "stroll through" the boutique after we have eaten. I know, if we were looking for dresses or jeans I would have made plans for lunch AFTER the fitting. As far as I know, shoe shopping can be done without concern after a meal. Correct me if I'm wrong ladies...today!

Well, they do have the Fifi Strass heels I (we) have chosen, but they only have them in 100mm (3.9"). Nevertheless, they are among the most expensive in the store at $3,400. So, if she wants something higher (taller) we can easily do that.
