Hey guys, don't start planning a farewell party... and ladies, don't start flinging yourself at him for a farewell f**k! He didn't say he was retiring or quitting the hobby, or even Eccie. I read it to mean that he is changing his hobby style and MO. He is done somewhat done exploring the unkown, and ready to enjoy the best of the best that he's found in his quest. Of course, there is the occassional distraction from the main road of his new quest... Sounds like a great idea to me!
