I have met some incredible ladies hobbying. They all have different stories. Some truly nice ladies that just went down this road for very different unique reasons!

it is interesting this post got bumped back to the top....i know i already answered but everything i have seen going on I really have to say I am wondering the same thing...why am I doing this...lately all I have seen is drama,meanness, and some days I just don't want to sign in...Maybe my outlook has also been different with adding a personal touch but now I am really questioning myself and my decision to be part of the hobby....it use to be fun and people enjoyed it but lately all I see is people being mean and hateful....that is not good

I wouldn't let a few naysayers though bring you down, IrishVixen. I still see more positive than negative...the boards go through mood swings it seems. The clouds will clear up soon.

You didn't hit a nerve, it doesn't surprise that there are common misconceptions that people believe. You never hear about the good, successful, sober, intelligent, educated people inthe adult industry. Often, like in every other part of society, the adult performer who does have a drug problem, lack of education, etc. isn't , most of the time, a bad or stupid person. To say that smart people in a multi billion dollar industry that is very hard to take down is the exception shows how little time a person took to leard what their talking about.
