Hotel questions...

Okay, I am going to be working at Dharma's place in Dallas this week. NO, this is NOT an ad!

I am also attending an event next Wednesday evening in Dallas and am thinking about staying over Wednesday night rather than driving back to FW then back to Big D the next morning.

Any suggestions as to what is near the 635, Midway Road and I-35 area? Also, I don't need a 5 Star place. I would prefer CHEAP! LOL! All I need is a bed and a bathroom.

I know I only live as far as FW but that is all the more reason I have NO IDEA about Dallas hotels. Thank you all in advance for your suggestions. I appreciate you all!

There's a Crowne Plaza on Midway north of 635. I believe there's a Motel 6 on Forest Lane near where I-35 and 635 meet. There's a lot of interstate-chain type places north of 635 on I-35, but I don't know of any offhand.

I use hotwire to get 4 star rooms at 2 star prices. right now is a 4 star for $63.00 near Galleria

Follow SP's suggestion.

The area of your wed night event is a bad area about two blocks away. That whole area is a high crime rate area. Get one of the better hotels.

Absolutely NOT something like the Motel 6. That is a major pimp/drug area.

After you check the rates at hotwire, try priceline.com If a 4-star is $63 on hotwire, bid about $45 or so on priceline. Play around with it. Or if you don't wish to, just go with hotwire. I've NEVER had an issue with them. (For the record, I have had a few issues over the years with priceline.com Not many, though!)

There is a Motel 6 on Forest just West of Webbs Chapel. Drove past it today & the rate was less than $40 a night. I'd offer our spare bedroom, but I might have too much 'splainin to do :-)
