Agreed.

On another board many years ago, someone asked me behind the scenes if I was interested in being a mod. I said no thanks, but took it as a compliment at the time.

Now that I see more clearly the role the mods must play, I am trying to figure out how I pissed that guy off so bad that he nominated me to be a mod.

I was just thincking about how a few past mods have been asked to resign over sex scandals. Sex scandals on a SHMB???? It really sounds quite funny when you look at it that way.

I'm in total agreement with Outdoorsman in his good word for SoulManIke. He helped me out a LOT in the transition post Big C.

And speaking of Big C, I'm with Chica Chaser...he was a solid mod that knew when to have fun with threads & members, and when to drop the hammer.

Most of you won't understand my reasoning for my third reccomendation because SHE isn't seen much by y'all doing active moderating. And that is Lea Madisson. She does offers a LOT of help behind the scenes and consistently offers a great deal of insight and level headedness (is that even a word) to difficult situations.

Tigercat, I hear what you are saying loud and clear. To this day I wonder how I pissed in St. Chris' cornflakes that caused him to invite me. And my dumb ass accepted...

I am so glad to see other mods from other areas posting...I agree with you on both these areas I think a mod should interact not just slap our hands when we have been naughty...This Big C was before my time but he sounds like a awesome mod...and Lea is great she always has a calm affect to her posts and comments...

Excellent point, CC. All 4 of the lady mods deserve recognition. These 4 work so many hours behind the scenes, in so many roles, to keep everyone safe and working with the ladies forums. All for zero pay and all the while running their own businesses concurrently.
