No one "needs" them it`s all a big fat myth. That`s the same back then when everyone told "oh when you are not on TER you can`t have business". Blah Blah. I have been on there , then got away from that board, and except for a few pain in the asses i did not loose anything. It`s like the Santa Claus Myth, you believe the hype or you don`t.
Reviews are good for the business of the review board owner, because to read them you most often need to either pay or contribute to the board somehow.
That is as much as i can or will say to that stuff.

Well said. One does not need reviews to make it in this business contrary to popular belief.

OTOH i also have heard about people having a no review policy because they offer unsafe practices, so that might be also a reason not to be underestimated. I mean if you do clients BB or something similar, you also don`t want that to have written on some board either. :-).

That is why i "prefer" a no review policy. Although in europe you can`t have reviews deleted once someone writes them . But fact is, even when you are out of the buz, you find info from 10 years back still on some boards and i am just "WTF" ???? . I don`t care if its saying good things, but its like, once its out there , IT`s OUT THERE. `nuff said. I just recently wanted to have some stuff deleted that links me to some agency for pretty comprehensible reasons of legality....... And the owner of the board just refused to delete it.
I mean "FUCK" that. What is the point?? It`s not that this information contributes anything valuable to my escort persona from today? So , all you can do is basically hire a SEO that uses codewords so that this particular info goes wayback in google and does not pop up anymore.
So - if there is something out there about me, i want to have it written myself or not at all, or i want to be able to contribute to my public persona in a way. :-) (lol)

I think, to a certain extent, you misunderstand the nature of reviews. They are not there for the "persona" of the lady, or to increase/decrease her business. They are there for the hobbyist. His research by reading reviews helps him "pull the trigger" on which lady he will see.
Do the reviews help the ladies? Maybe as a side benefit. But they exist primarily for the hobbyist. From what I've read on the boards, most ladies dislike them intensely, but realize that in this day and age of internet escorting they are a necessary evil.

Mailing lists. Get on one. *SL* That's going to be the way it is in the future I believe. Or the way it should be. I think it's a myth as well that you 'need' reviews, but I see their point. If I were a man looking to procure some company, I would love to know beforehand that she's legitimate and not LE.
Some women develop their social circles so that there is a certain caliber of women that kind of 'share' their client base. It's meet and greets, word of mouth and mailing lists. The amount of reviews a lady gets only means something to reviewers.

Z has posted that she books via mailing lists almost exclusively when traveling. That's all well and good for the lady that travels to certain geographical locations and has a list from previous visits that she can alert of an upcoming trip.
But from this hobbyist's POV, that's a problem. I travel a lot and am rarely in the same city/location. I have to rely on local talent or traveling ladies. The way it's set up currently, I can check ECCIE (for certain areas of the country), P411, TER, EROS (not so much), RS2K (not too much) for local talent. If it goes to mailing lists, I'm going to be severely hampered b/c I'm not about to get on thousands of mailing lists on the off chance I'll hit someone in the location in which I will be. Too much crap in my hobby inbox.
I guess it'll be BP for me.

The trick is getting on the RIGHT mailing list, CT. You get hooked in with the right girl, and depending on the kind of client you are, you would have referrals for ladies all over the US.
I'm not negating your 'date-finding' skills not one bit, because it's up to you.

The mailing lists I know about are kept separately by each provider.
Now, getting "hooked in" with the right girl could be a problem. A lot of girls don't like my board persona.

Not me. Since I'm new to Eccie I want reviews here.

I'm going to be in Austin after the first of the year. I absolutely hate doing reviews, but will do one if asked nicely. If you come to Austin while I'm there, I'd consider doing one for you.
