OBAMA WAS FOR THE 12 MONTH EXTENSION BEFORE HE WAS AGAINST IT........
Initially Obama demanded that Congress pass the 12 month payroll reduction, threating to veto any legislation that didn't have a 12-month time.....then, when the Republican House delivered a legislative package that included the 12-month reduction; he says "No"..........
A 2-month extension is a joke; businesses can't operate on two month horizons.
The Democrats won't pass a budget and American businesses and taxpayers, and economy are paying the price for Obama's incompetance.
We should have been out of this recession months ago; but Obama is such an ideologue he is using the bad times to drive his socialist agenda - remember the Emanuel rule; "don't let a crisis go to waste" !!!!
He doesn't want jobs for working Americans; if he did he would have approved the Keystone pipeline.

No you liar, he said he wanted a clean bill, one not loaded up with other crap.
For instance, if I said I wanted a Zebra and you said here is your Zebra and a Lion and I said no , I only wanted a Zebra would you then lie and say I didn't want a Zebra?

Good so you admit, the House passed a bi-partisan 12 month extension?
It was the Democratically controlled Senate that wouldn't act on the House bill with the 12-month extension !

You do understand the Senate Republicans are using this to school those House freshmen Repubs on politics. They along with the White House it seems are tired of that tail wagging the dog.
You would not have seen a 89-10 vote otherwise.

The 89-10 Senate vote was for a 2 month extension; the House bill was a 12-month extension.
Reid and Obama are playing a political game. Proving my point that Obama isn't interested in creating jobs. He wants the American economy to continue to be weak so he can implement his Socialist agenda.

You would have to ask BHO why he didn't want to sign what he demanded earlier. Yes, he did demand a 12 month extension which isn't really a fix (it is a gimmick) but that is what he wanted. He got it from the House but not from the democratic Senate. I don't care about the bi-partisan vote. The GOP couldn't pass their 12 month extention in the Senate so they had to go along with what Reid was putting out there. Then Reid went AWOL along with the Senate. Business managers have said that they can't plan for a 2 month package, even a 1 year package is marginal for planning. They want a 2-3 year guarantee for planning purposes.
Of course the payroll tax cut is a joke. The payroll tax (Social Security) is our money going into our accounts (let's play along) for our retirement so many years down the line. This money taken involuntarily is our money for our retirement. Money deposited now is worth more than money deposited later. The smart people understand the joke but great majority doesn't even understand how they're being ripped off tomorrow for political purposes today. Of course their is no individual account for any of us (politicians have their own retirement package that they get vested in after 8 years) but the general Social Security fund which is loosing $100 billion every year this "tax cut" is in effect. Money that will have to be made up from the general fund or allow SS to go bankrupt. Then there will be more demands for taxing the rich to pay for money taken by Obama.

I had already posted the truth. Obama wanted a clean bill. The House did not want to pass the tax cut at first, then they wanted the pipeline in it. Now they look like idiots and claim to want to pass a 12 month extension. They are getting wacked over the head with this and you are to stupid to realize it.
If they do not pass it, they will look like the ones to blame. Is it politics, yes. It is all politics. You just now figure that out? They all want to get re-elected. They play to their base. This time they overplayed their hand.
If you are not bright enough to see that, no problem, the speaker is having the same problem.

Idiot, we will be entering a world wide recession next year, lead by the Euro zone, in stead of being out.
You really think that won't touch the US?

Yeah, those nasty Republicans wanted to add a sure-fire guaranteed jobs program in with the bill. How awful of them!
I don't usually like Republicans, but they are right this time.

That does not change the fact that JD BS and Whirlaway were lying about the nature of the bill.

Way to go on misrepresenting fact WTF. The simple fact is that the House DID pass a 12 month extension before the Senate cobbled their bill together. If the Senate had wanted to pass this thing on to the White House (who also wanted a 12 month extension) then the Senate would have passed one. It is that simple. Now go and misrepresent that.
