just some info to add...i know because i called her that day for a visit that her car got towed in nola and she was trolling through the bullshit they make you go through to get your car out. She told me she was sorry and she would get me when she got back in town. she said she would be back from home at the end of the week.

Ugh, what a pain in the ass...getting your car towed sucks. And not in the good way.

yes apparently nola is a bad place to have it towed too...make you jump through all kinds of hoops to get your car from what I hear...thats why I always use a lot or park at a hotel..don't have to worry about am I parked in a tow zone or not.

Been there, done that! I got towed in 2006 and had to take the trolley to find the bloody place they took my car to. Still dressed in the clothes I wore the night before, including a pool cue case. I found it pretty scary to ride the trolley even in the day time! Odd people on the car, reminded me of the subways in NY and Boston. And riding thru neighborhoods with those markings on homes that were destroyed by hurricane Katrina. Never again! I will pay a premium price to have my car safe and ME as well!
