Adobe Flash was the early technology for making "movement" on your web page. It enabled the designer to have slide shows, rotating banners, little movies, etc. At one time, movement on a site was considered the holy grail of web design. People were paying thousands of dollars to professional designers to get moving images on their sites. But no longer. Too much movement now is considered poor design, in part because sites are being viewed now on very small handheld screens, and Flash is giving way to, as Sooner said, HTML5 which gives the movement capability in a far more controlled environment. Plus it plays on multiple platforms, which Adobe Flash didn't.
And as the other previous poster mentioned, don't even think about adding music.
Is a website worth it? No way to know. Depends on too many things. Wouldn't matter at all to me.

I paid 10k for my first website and it garnered me no more money than the one I have now...did it myself. Oh sure, the first one was bad azz and all but how I wish I had spent that money on student loans lol. It's not what you spend per se, but how you present yourself. I think I broke the KISS rule ten times over though ha ha.

Oh and no crazy fonts or real small fonts specially if you're client base is older, vision isnt tack sharp. (No offense) You have to remember others are reading your site.. some sites are so blinky and bright that it makes someone trigger a seizure! lol Also easy to navigate, some people are not so net savvy, make it for dummies. Less is more.
A light gray font is more pleasing and easier to read than white font on a black background.. for EX.
If you use flash just make sure you have a phone version as well, flash isnt going anywhere and some sites are real nice and easy to build.

There are plenty of sites like this, but here is a good one.
http://www.freelancer.com/
There are many programmers over there who haven't really made it yet. You can get some above average work quite cheaply. Key Point, never give out the full amount of money until the project is done.. always ask to see a portfolio. You can often negotiate a quality website development project (from a template) for as low as $500.

No I would definitely not do that. I've seen girls' sites who have music and I think it's distracting and dumb.

If you use Flash, you will be eliminating anyone who uses an IPad from accessing the site - so, don't use Flash
Also - use dark fonts, but don't have dark backgrounds that the fonts blend in to. Light fonts on a dark backgound is NOT GOOD!
And - have a calendar - but keep it up to date and have a link to your calendar on all your pages.

2. Photos-tasteful photos are greatly appreciated. Keep to 10 or less. If more than 10, consider multiple "themed" galleries/picture folders. Also, full nudity is fine, but please don't go overboard with explicit photos. Finally, photos should not be deceptive in nature.
3. Services Offered-- some will contend you shouldn't put this on your site b/c it sets you up for possibly being targeted by LE. It is an individual decision; however, if you do put a list of services, don't be vague. Listing GFE as a service is meaningless b/c everybody interprets GFE their own way. If you list, be specific-- BBBJ, 69, MSOG, CG, RCG, Greek, etc. By doing this, you avoid a guy guessing as to what he's going to get for his $$$.
4. Rates-- pretty straight forward, but make sure your rates are consistent if you are advertising on multiple sites. For example, don't list 300/hr on your personal website and 350 on a site like ECCIE. That is just begging guys to ask questions about rates.
5. Contact Info-- please provide an e-mail address for contact. I, for one, DISLIKE those cookie cutter contact forms that come with certain sites. I know some ladies won't give their phone number, but if you feel comfortable with giving it out, do it.
6. FAQ-- Self explanatory but keep it short and sweet.
7. Calender-- I know some of the cookie cutter sites offer a calendar feature. If you put a calendar on your site, please use it. There's nothing more frustrating than to click on a provider's calendar page and find zero useful information. If you are going to have it, use it.

I agree, and also add a reviews section, so guys could see specific links to your reviews.
I wish ladies would include all this on their p411 page for one stop shopping, but if I can't find info I need there the website should be the last place I have to view.

Thank you everyone who responded to my post, you've all been very helpful and I greatly appreciate it. My decision is to get a website built and take things you've all informed me into consideration. I love this Eccie site! I had never heard of it and was so glad when a Texas gentleman referred me here! Thank you all again! I'll be posting a lot more often too.

It has been explained.
I wrote about this for ladies in my blog.
You can read the post here: http://zarahadams.com/2011/07/17/for...-your-website/. Flash websites are very hard to load and a lot of people find them annoying. My website is a standard html site build on a wordpress platform. Wordpress is a great platform if you're looking to blog. It is great for Search Engine Optimization.

Exactly! Pyramider makes a great point. I would love to add Sade to my site so it can automatically play but I built my website with my clients in mind. Think about your clients while you're building your website and you'll end up with a great site. Cpalmson has given you basics.
Keep this in mind.
No one wants a site that is difficult to navigate.
As pyramider stated, No one wants loud music to be playing when trying to be discreet.
No one wants to see graphics on a ladies website that has nothing to do with
what she's offering.
Always be straightforward about what you're doing.
Always be honest on your website.
Always keep it updated.
If you have a calendar, update it.
If you write blog posts, don't rant about your personal life - It isn't a smart
thing to do.
I built my website myself but If you're looking for a great designer BellaHHD is fabulous. VedaDesigns is also great.

I personally disagree with listing exact services like BBJ, COF etc.. I think its a bit tacky and more risk listing it like that.. I dont list any services and I have no problems..
If links to my reviews are not enough well then...
Personally I love Wordpress. Can be tricky if you dont know blogging formats and some of the themes they offer work different with WP, its certainly for the more savvy.
Also flash is not as evil as everyone makes it out to be, just keep it simple and get a mirror phone version. The phone version is important as at least 40% of net browsing is done through phones and just keeps increasing in users.. Only freaking Apple cant view all the rest can..

I would never list 'services available'. I mean the guys can read my reviews. I was surprised when I saw a couple of girls' websites and they listed all the things they did like 'rimming' and all that. SO not discreet. Why tell it all on your site anyways? That's sort of like showing open pussy shots on your site. My feeling is...if they want to find out what services I really do offer and what my kitty looks like LOL they can make an appointment through the website
Speaking of the website I really like belongs to a fellow escort friend of mine:
www.jewelmonet.com
Something like that is tasteful and classy.

I know- don't hate on the flash but this html5 seems very interesting, but my website platform is so easy for me to update. Deff do not want to build a new site already.
