In fairness I think it is more of a concern in the civie world/one night stand....but call me paranoid...it is a real life legit concern with foundation.

its funny how most think that she should run to have an abortion instead of taking responsablitlity for her and his actions. Shit happens and the guy is just as much as responable as the woman is for a child. I have 6 children and i love each and every one of them very much all of them were planed and wanted very much no none of them came from me hobbying but still if my SO would have told me to have an abortion believe me he would not still be my SO right now.
You would be required to pay child support as well as pay the state back if she gets any government assistance as in medical care during pregnancy birth for the child if she receives cash assistance from the state you will have to pay all of that back to the state.

This makes me upset.
"18 years in jail"
That's messed up. Way to OWN up to your actions bud.
Dang, I unds "accidents" hap...but child support is something most of these women (as providers) don't get....and are too proud and beautiful to ask for anything from deadbeat dads.
I have NO kids..but if I did...I'd be all about my responsibility. "Stick it in, take care of your kin" or find a board for cheap jailbirds.
F*ck.

CT2005!!!! ahhrgh! What woman in her right mind would want to get pregnant during a hobby session. (I'm not mad at you...the very thought of children makes me cringe.) A father is not just a sperm donor. I think having a baby by simply "picking out a donor" is doing a disservice to the child. Kids are a pain in the ass. They need an enormous amount of attention. Having both a mom figure and a dad figure allows for more than one person to shoulder the responsibility of bringing up a child. In the event that I chose to start a family, I want that kid to have a dad, grandparents, aunts/uncles, and amazing next door neighbors. That way, when I am about to wring the little shit-heads neck, someone can stop me.

Even though statements of this nature "upset" me, it sure doesn't surprise me. IMO.....it kinda says something about the character of a person who would consider this option. Cowardly, irresponsible, and inconsiderate are just a couple of traits that come to mind. Geez.
Man up!

I agree Max that just really pisses me off. Hell I was 14 yes 14 (i dont care about what u think of it ) when i had my first child and i would have hunted down and killed his father if he even would have thaught about telling me or doing the things that guy has said. Even at 16 years old my SO was man enough to step up and be a father to our child and all the others we have had scene then.
Getting prego in the hobby is not the greatest way for a child to come into the world but it does happen and there are woman who step up and care for the child if she decides to keep the child but i also think that its a MANS job to take care of any child that is biologically his no matter how it came to be.
There are providers that are OUTSTANDING mothers doing it all on there own but they should not have to.

Ok, well I'm going to be the only to say it I guess.
There is absolutely NO reason any woman should get pregnant in this business. SHE SHOULD BE ON BIRTH CONTROL. No excuses.
Can't take birth control for one reason or another? Then you are in the wrong business honey. Trying to get pregnant with the SO? Then quit this job. It would really suck for everyone involved if there was a slippage or a breakage and nine months later all 3 of you are on Maury waiting to hear "you are/are not the father." (being sarcastic but you know what I'm saying)
I know of two providers who turned up pregnant from a client. I'm sorry, but I have no sympathy for you. When you play with fire you will get burned.
We all know what the right thing or moral thing for the guy to do is. Now wake up and snap back to reality. This is 2010. Things are different today. Mama's baby, papa's maybe. I can see the client telling his wife "you know I love you right? Well, I was having an affair with a prostitute and now she's is pregnant." That would go over very well.
In the end the baby is her responsibility. And with that responsibility comes the choice. Her choice. A woman should never count on the man doing the right thing. She has to rely on herself-especially in this business. If he steps up, then good for him. If he doesn't, you should have expected that. But you shouldn't have gotten pregnant in the first place.
Just my two cents.
Meg

About 4 years ago I was contacted about EXACTLY that situation. A provider got pregnant from a hobbyist. The provider agreed to leave the business and the two began living together, but after the birth of their child she returned to tricking without telling him. This may be hard to believe, but the baby daddy claimed the provider gave the baby her old cell phone to play with when she got a new one, and on the phone were over 200 text messages to and from hobbyists seeking appointments. He filed for sole custody of the child, claiming her profession made her an unfit mother.
I specialize in criminal defense and civil litigation, and I normally don't practice family law (the cases are too emotional -- I prefer murder or assault -- haha), but I agreed to help her because she was the friend of a good friend of mine who's a provider and the young lady didn't have any money for a lawyer. Ultimately, the case settled with the parties having equal rights to possession of the child.
The standard for deciding child possession is what is in the best interest of the child. I pulled my old file and did some new research (lawyers: I ran "best interest of child" & possession or custody & prostitute or prostitution through Westlaw). There are 23 published and unpublished Texas cases in which the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services or some other government agency obtained the termination of a mother's right of possession because there was evidence she worked as a prostitute, although there were also allegations of abuse, neglect, and illicit substances in the cases. I didn't find one case involving a parent versus parent custody contest in which it was alleged the birth mother was a prostitute. This may be because the mother likely would not have had the resources to pursue an appeal from an unfavorable judgment. Thomas v. Thomas, 852 S.W.2d 31 (Tex. App.--Waco 1993, no writ) is probably closest to being on point. In that case, the mother, a prostitute, surrendered her parental rights, and the father and maternal grandmother each sought custody, with granny winning out.

While I do believe that it is a womans job to make sure that she is protected with another form of Birth Control NOTHING at all is 100% except for just NOT doing it.. And Um Hello if the guy was so concered with the possiablility of having to tell his wife that he was cheating then he should not be in the hobby. If a woman and her SO want to try to have a baby then thats there business to do weather she is a provider or not. I dont believe in abortions as an alternitive to opps i made a mistake There are other ways adoption for one and further more I also DO NOT agree that its all on a woman MEN need to STOP trying to take the easy way out and running away. YOU both make the choice to have sex so you both need to be grown enough to take care of that child or give the baby to somebody who cant have them or whatever.

Say what you want, I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you. But if a couple is trying to have a baby, more power to them. But at that point a woman should NOT continue a job where she has sex with strangers for a living. That is just plain stupid, reckless and it's asking for trouble-unless, of course, her SO doesn't care whether or not he is really the father. We all know accidents happen. We all know there are men out there who take the cover off. So why would you put yourself in that situation? Of course, this is just "my" opinion.
