I can understand being anti-Obama, but pro-Perry???? He made a fool out of himself in the last debate. His credibility takes hit after hit on an almost daily basis.

You know it's a sad selection of Republican Candidates when Newt starts looking like the best of the bunch. Though I have issues with some of Perry's stances, I never would have believed he would make this poor of a showing in the debates. I was hoping at least one of the candidates would rise to the occasion but it's not looking like that's going to happen.

Last night I was watching Fox News [yes I do watch almost everything] and was surprised when none other than Ann Coulter declared her support of Romney. According to Coulter Obama will be a serious challenge and only someone like Romney can garner enough independents to quash Obama.

I agree with her.

That I didn't know. I thought someone with her strident "movement" following would tout someone more "conservative," and she's miffed with other Republicans who think Obama is another Jimmy Carter and they can get another Reagan-type elected.

What today's Republicans don't accept is that Reagan wasn't the conservative firebrand they wish he was. He cut taxes once and then raised them eleven times out of practical necessity. He never lifted a finger to erode abortion rights, and had a daughter who spread her legs for men's magazines with his total approval. He was a hollywood/southern Californian who in reality had nothing in common with social or mainstreet conservatives. He only tossed them a bone when he unleashed Ed Meese [another southern Californian] on porn distributors. I remember when I used to drop by Video Exclusives' office in Chatsworth that FBI agents would sometimes be parked nearby just to let everyone know they were there.

Reagan's ignorance made him a dangerous guy in foreign affairs, but at least he was a human being with a normal person's conscience.

Today's phoney conservatives like W. Bush, Cheney, and the whole crowd of present hopefuls save Romney are sociopathic zealots.

Now, I wont say all these policies were "pro-business" per se, but some were rather reactive policies to the mess he was left with. I am also assuming job creation would be considered "pro-business". If they're adding these many jobs, they must be thriving. There's plenty of things I don't like about Obama, but job creation is not in that list.

The notion that Obama isn't pro-WallStreet is laughable.

Obama hasn't done anything to move capital gains taxes back to levels that Reagan instituted. It's these outrageous capital gains exceptions which created the bubbles of the last decade.

Obama hasn't prosecuted or even investigated any mortgage or bank fraudsters the way Reagan did when he sent 1,000 bankers to jail.

Obama hasn't done anything to regulate leveraged speculation such as re-institute Glass-Stegal or anything else.

Obama's only anti-business move is that moronic health insurance plan, and he'll never get it funded; it's dead.

When questioned about his hypocrisy and so-called "family values" by his first wife, his reply was, "It doesn't matter what I do, people need to hear what I have to say." Newt really does make a good "Poster Boy" for the Party. But he may be too independent for Rove and "the Gang".

Of course "King" Perry would abolish the whole system, somehow, according to his latest rants. Has anyone told him Congress has to vote "aye' for his proposed changes to take place. Newt once got the Republican Party elected to a majority with a promise to limit terms, among other things. Then proclaimed shortly thereafter that he didn't think it was a good idea after all. Does Perry think Congress and the Supreme Court will limit their Powers? Does he think he has the authority, as President, to make the changes? Or is he just a typical Republican lackey that will do what he can for his wealthy 1% masters to take away more of our freedoms. I believe the latter, he is and always has been, for sale, and who else would pour money into that fool's coffers. Can you imagine what Rove and the gang could do with this ignoramus?
