Im thinking of visiting the Killeen area around the 1st of the month. Im not sure where to stay. any intel on where is "safe" or any sites that I simply MUST see while there?

In general, I advise against ANY of the hotels on Veterans' Memorial /Business 190....
That will keep you away from "downtown".

There are several hotels on US 190 in Killeen between Florence Rd and Stan Schlueter Rd. MOST of those are fine.....

Thanks for the intel! Is LE heavy downtown? Are the ones between Florence and Stan Schlueter easy to get to?

The hotels on 190 between Florence and Stan Schlueter are easy to get to.... 190 is the main drag through the area.

As far as LE...... The downtown area has the SW action and the ladies in many of those hotels are not discrete at all. Killeen PD WILL respond to complaints of SW and the DO run sting operations a couple of times a year on ladies advertising on BP...... They will pose as a client and ask for an outcall to a local hotel......

The hotels I directed you towards are more discrete, but will have plenty of men and women in and out of uniform coming and going..... so no one will look twice at a guest coming or going.....

Killeen is a very different community than Austin or Houston, to be sure.
