Have you ever......
Ok this is for the guys,
Have you ever been out some where and seen a provider? Not one that you have had a "date" with but one that you have seen her on the boards or other sites and recognize her by her pictures?
If you have, where was it and did you talk to her or just chuckle on the inside? I am just curious... I know that not alot of girls show their face but I do so it would be easy to know when you saw me.
I stopped for a Martini the other night and had a gentleman stop and talk to me along these lines and that got me wondering how often this happens...

If I saw a lady out in public, I would never, ever go up to talk to her about the profession (or anything else for that matter), even if I knew for a fact she was in it. Not even if she and I had seen each other before would I approach. The potential for embarrassment and conflict is way too great. I have way too much respect for peoples' privacy.
I am glad it worked out OK for you. But NEVER, EVER, NEVER!!!!!!!!!

It wasn't off the board, it was off of backpage. LOL He just kept looking at me, and I just figured he was checking me out, and just to shy to come over. He came and sat next to me, and said "you look familar". I just responded with "i get that all the time" mainly because I do. He asked what I did for a living, I said I am a student. He asked if I went by another name. And I laughed and he said that he saw me on a "website", and that I was much prettier in person. I said my thank you's and finished my drink. I told him that it was nice to meet him and handed a business card and reminded him all donations are for my time and time only, he laughed and said he would be calling. LOL
I am too easy going to let stuff like freak me out. You just gotta make sure you don't say anything to get yourself in trouble. Most of my friends know what I do, so even if they were there it would have just been a laugh. But If i would have been with family or such, I would have been quite uneasy about the whole thing. Thank god I was alone.

TWICE! once with my wife, I saw a lady that I knew at a restaurant. We smiled. Another time I saw a lady whose picture I recognized at a doctor's office.

That is exactly the reason i do not show my face, if I am out with family or so forth, I do not want to have someone coming up to me, I prefer privacy. If I am out with another gentlemen, I do not need him to be bothered by some other guy in the restroom or anything along those lines as well.
I had that happen many years ago, didn't like it then either, a nod is perfect, anything more I do not feel is needed.
But that is me own 2 cents.

I see a well known local provider as she drops her kid off at the same school my child attends. They are in the same grade and we even chaperoned a field trip together but at that time I didnt not let on to knowing who she was

I saw a provider once. Didnt even think of saying anything to her. Only person I was checking out was the other person she was with to see if I could tell if they were LE (that way I could feel more comfortable about scheduling.....hehe)

No, but i have seen dancers working straight jobs. I was only polite like when interacting with any lady. Neither person has any business "outing" the other regardless of how well you think you click in a working relationship.
I once had a bartender who is very pretty and significantly younger than me try to give me a hug after bumping into me in public. There was no explanation that would satisfy the people I was with as to what our relationship really was. I keep that in mind. You can always acknowledge them the next time you meet. If discretion and privacy is not top priority people are going to get hurt.

With all due respect Jez...but, there's a huge difference between "being too easy going" and "being safe."
San Antonio is too small of a community, to feel safe, having websites with face pics...imho.

Nikki, I understand your point. And I can understand why some providers choose to not put their face out there. However, I choose to. I believe that my face is my best feature and that it can help with business. I am not blessed with having the spinner body which most guys seek, but I do have an exceptional face and I feel it is necessary for me to survive to show it.
As I stated, most of the people in my life know what I do to some extent and the ones that don't aren't around here. Safety, as I have previously noted is relative. Some people believe they are safe when they drive; but that's not always true. I have been hit on by men not from the hobby that could have hurt me just as easily. How many women have seen a guy and it not go the way she would have hoped... We have all read the alerts. But that's neither or there. As we are all individuals, it is our personal choice what we choose to share about ourselves. And I respect and appreciate your opinion as I know it was only with the best of intentions.

Unfortunately, you can't control the behaviour of idiots. They are amongst us! Whether it be provider or hobbyist, you may be approached by someone you have met or someone who has seen your picture. Prepare your response in advance. BTW Zorro is especially conspicuous!

ditto for Laredo....usually the thought that goes through my head is "Man, she could make some serious cash if she was a provider"
