What does that have to do with you? As long as the provider delivers the goods where it counts is what I care about. These inner provider battles are for the birds. I seriously doubt Maci is the only one who does this. I just have to wonder why she is the only one being called out.......

It probably is, if she expects other ladies to respond to her reference requests as well. Plus, it is a little more than a nice gesture... it helps keep them all safe, so it ultimately benefits everyone involved, including hobbyists. If you really step back and think about it, references are really the one thing that makes this entire system work. (Well, that and reviews.)

Because many providers require references and if those references don't ever actually refer, they are (possibly intentionally) sabotaging your chance of seeing that provider.

I can't believe u guy's are going this far. If a provider doesn't give me a referance then I move onto the next lady on my list. I would never feel pressured into seeing any provider. It's my choice to see who I want to see. And yes I have seen Maci but by no mean's is she me atf but a great lady to see.

Now, if a woman I'm trying to see reports back that my reference(s) didn't deliver, I would be upset because I would feel like they were being dishonest with me, and, (to paraphrase Vyt) many "providers" require references and if some "providers" don't actually refer, they are (possibly intentionally) sabotaging your chances of seeing other "providers".

If a "provider" doesn't want to give references, that's fine. However, I would prefer she make that known to the community, be upfront about it. I might or might not see her, but I would know for sure not to count on her as a reference.

*I never give a name as a reference without getting an okay from that individual.

Just because a provider upsets you, that doesn't make this alert-worthy. Go read the definition of alert. While it is true that references are essential to the smooth and safe operation of the hobby, it would be a HUGE stretch to say that anyone's safety or security have been compromised because an individual provider doesn't respond to a reference request. The Alerts forum is abused often enough as it is, obscuring the value of true alerts.

I actually addressed this issue to "all providers" that do this. Please save your whining for another thread. I am specifically addressing Maci because I have run into this situation with her and, as I understand it, this is not uncommon with her.

Furthermore, if you don't want to hear about provider to provider shit then get the hell out of my thread! this was not addressed to you so stick your nose elsewhere. I'm actually very pissed about this and even more pissed you would even try to defend this behavior.

The point is, giving a reference is part of the job. Pressuring gents and withholding refs is bullshit! I will call it out each and every time.
