Third-party requests for an escort?

Every now and then, a storyline in a TV show or movie will involve a third party engaging an escort to provide companionship to someone else. Sometimes, it's a friend (or friends) being a friend (or friends) to a friend (remember Renko in Hill Stret Blues and how pissed he was when he found out it was his friends' money and not his charm, that landed him that gorgeous babe?); sometimes it's a businessman trying to seal the deal; sometimes, similar to a scene in MASH, it's to set up the other party or embarrassment or blackmail.

I'm sure this sort of stuff doesn't happen often, but I'm also sure that there's a story or two out there waiting to be told. Anyone?

I actually paid for someone to go visit a friend of mine that was having a dry spell. He was travelling and always complaining about his dry spell, so I called the concierge at his hotel to get referrals from the yellow pages (this was pre-Internet). I actually found someone to take credit cards over the phone, she showed up at his room by surprise, and she made him a happy camper! I also have an employee that is a 26 year old virgin (a bit geeky), and I have been tempted to give him a surprise some day.

I was wondering this today, I have a buddy that just completed his devoice a few months ago. It really devastated him, he has gotten into shape and all but has not been laid in nearly a year. I would love to get him laid but I don't think he would see a provider straight up. But if he did not know he would love it. I have no idea how to work it out, not sure I could afford it, depending I guess.

I would love to here the stories.

i've never done this, in RL, hobby life, or on MTV or any other cable network!!

eklutna, i would think three, four, or five, if not more times before raising the providing world consciousness of a 26 yr old geek employee. there's no way you could control his boasting. unless you never told him she was a provider. but there's always the probability that he just might find out.

at6texas, ditto for your buddy. but assuming he's not a young buck, perhaps you two could make a pact about keeping it waaaaaaaay down on the DL.


one option would be to say "well, maybe google has some ideas for you. you know, like escort or providers in dallas. isnt that what they call them these days??" that way, he looks for them, not you. if he gets all freaked, tell him it probably wasnt a good idea. if he starts salivating, guide him w/out letting on that you know much about this sub-culture. like "BP? i hear those women are all scam and rip off artists!! eccie? now that sounds like an interesting place. damn!! look at all those cuties!!!"

another of the problems of introducing guys to this sub-culture is the "kid in the candy store" syndrome. it could wreck their bank account and possibly their ideas of women in general.

That's like secretly slipping alcohol into someone's drink or feeding pork to an unsuspecting Muslim. I would never set someone up with a provider unless he knew what he was getting into. Just because we have accepted our hobby life and have found comfort, joy, relief, or whatever we're looking for, doesn't mean someone else would.

If i were determined to do this, I would arrage for her to be at a bar. Take my friend there and mention how she seems to be staring at him and work it from there till he goes talk to her. Make sure she will not say anything about being a working girl to him. Maybe buy her a drink and get a table, then start finding excuses to leave then at the table. Bath room, phone call, etc. Make sure your driving, then after awhile say you have to go. Would she mind giving him a ride, someting like that.

My best friend bitches and moans about his wife incessantly and claims they are rarely intimate. As he and I have no secrets, he is well aware of my hobbying activities and I have offered several times over the years to arrange a rendezvous for him with providers who trust me.
