That's interesting. I haven't heard that before but I'm not disputing that some of the Kurds may feel that way. I haven't been back to Iraq since 2006 so things could certainly have changed in how they view things.

Without divulging too much of my business...it was post 2006 when the draw down decision was in progress. Not to get off topic, but I think that if the Kurds could start a personal little country up there and keep to themselves it would be fine by them.

That's been their goal for a very long time now but Turkey, Iran and Iraq are not keen on that idea.

Do I think that Cheney's stance is too far is saying he doesn't care what the world thinks of us, absolutely. He should care and we should care. Bottom line no one wants to be though of as a bully

Cheney's attitude and interaction with Rove and the boys spoke greater volumes than words, so i am not surprised he made such a statement. I feel he has the same attitude towards the average American also. I believe we are lucky to have had Obama come in behind these guys to salvage some integrity with the rest of the World, and History will reflect this.
