Let's scale back the venom and get back to violating the "stay on subject" rule.

There is no doubt that the rule is conspicuously absent in many of the threads in this Forum. That is partly by design, partly a tribute to the erudition of the posters and partly a continuation of the practice of our previous Board.
Doesn't mean that it can't or won't be reined in at the discretion of Staff.
