When I watch FOX their favorite topic lately is:

WE ARE CAPITALISTS, WE DON'T WANNA BE A NANNY STATE LIKE NORWAY, SWEDEN, DENMARK, THE NETHERLANDS

SOME FACTS ABOUT THE "NANNY STATES"

People live healthier
People are happier
Less heart attacks, strokes
Mild climate for soft drugs, up to legal
Hobbying is legal
Life expectation is longer
Less homeless people
Same sex marriage is legal
Assisted suicide is possible
Abortion is legal
Less crime
Less greed
Friendlier attitude
Minimum wages are enough to live on
Less poverty

NOW WHY THE FUCK DON'T YOU WANNA BE A "NANNY STATE" ?????????????????

Only reason why I left Europe and live in California now …………….. The climate

All of the Countrys you listed all have one thing in common that makes them starkly different from the USA. They have a relative homogenous populations.

That is changing, we will see in the future how well they cope with waves of immigrants who have no interest in becoming Norwegians, Swedes, Danes, or Dutch.

Each of these Countrys needs their own version of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson to remind them how evil they are.

For the Netherlands that is absolutely not true, don't know about the rest, but it doesn't matter at all.

Oh and I forgot, of course everyone in those states has health insurance and not with the crazy co-pay and deductibles like in the US

I never lived in Europe but have been there numerous times. I agree with most of what wave said except I can think of a lot of reasons I wouldn't live there.

Nothing is keeping him from moving. That's one of the great things about our country.

There's nothing wrong with pointing out the good qualities of some other country. Or pointing out needed areas of improvement for your own.

I understand what the subtext is. I just wanted to see if any of the wing nuts would even offer a pretextural race neutral "reason." Their silence speaks volumes. They didn't even try to come up with even a half-assed answer.
