I saw a pale sickly looking person the other day.
However, I would say there is surely a distinction between pale and porcelain. Though porcelain is pale, in my eyes it is far from sickly.
That one pic of Sensual Sophia comes to mind. The one where she was standing or something with a chair. I loved the dark background and the contrast of her white skin (I tried to look for it, no dice).
My favorite cliche is: Variety is the spice of life.
I bet aliens (you know, since they are depicted as clones), look at us and think: WOOOOOOW, they'er all so different. I bet they're jealous, or maybe they pity us *shrug*.... either way they probably sit around and laugh at us."

Lighter skin aka pale... Is more prone to skin cancer
They lack the melanin (sp?)/ vitamin d that darker tones have
The lighter/more luminescent the eye...the more easier it is for the eye to get diseases.
(i asked my eye dr one day if it were easier to look into a lighter eye vs darker eye...and thats how the discussion started)
Light, bright, and dayum near white or really pale/porcelien may be more attractive to some
But I looove me some me lol

Completely agree! Sometimes its nice to get the Jalapenos on that pizza rather than just Cheese... Even if you're limited to purchasing it at the same store.
As for the ET's, I'm sure some find us beautiful, some revolting... Unless they are like BORG, then they would all have the same opinion, I suppose.

Its all preference, with the exception that an attractive women with her legs spread and/or mouth open is attractive to any man regardless of skin tone... Forget the skin tone BS... I simply prefer a freak... I'm just saying
One a side note, however, with a darker skin tone...as we get older we don't show our age. The old adage "black don't crack" is true. I have 80 year old aunts and uncles that look at 10-20 yrs younger.

I'm not pondering why light skin is sexier than dark skin as I read this thread, rather I'm wondering just how narcissistic you need to be to take it as given that most people share your personal preferences.

I don't think he is being narcissistic at all. The majority of hobbyists and providers are white. I am not offended by this thread at all and I am not white.....

Suffice it to say, some guys have preferences, and luckily for you ugly fuckers (guys), as long as you have $, you can find someone that is colorblind to play with you..
this has been an interesting and INFORMATIVE thread. Amazing how easily "preference" is substituted for "racist" in some of the remarks made. So you guys with "light skinned" ""preferences" don't find any interest in lovelies like Halle Berry, Genesis, Jada Pinket and such? yeah, right..~~~

I wouldnt say the majority of hobbyist are white, lot of Asians, Hispanics,AA from what I seen. What are you sixx? I'm mixed anyways
I think 'exotic' got it right
"The desire to befoul and desecrate something seemingly so pure and unadulterated is instinctive and overwhelming"
as to what else could explain redheads (ex Lara ,Celeste) high rates, popularity, fetishes; And the high proportion of male black celebrities with white/lighter skinned women that's almost never seen in the reverse. Ex: tiger woods, Ice-T, russel simmons, Dr. Dre, like in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZmXRp07Dhk

I am a pale white guy and, as a general rule, I prefer women who are darker than I am. The people who fall into this category are tan white women, latinas, darker skinned asians, and of course those wonderful black ladies. What I like about women that are darker than I am is the sheer contrast value. I find that attractive. Also, in my personal opinion, those types of women are just more attractive to me and tend to possess the figures that I am most attracted too.
Personally, I find that skin tone is not so much a factor now as body style. Now a days the skinny, super model look is in and I hate that look. No offense to women that look like that but I find that look to be "underdeveloped."

Boy oh boy that propaganda got you too? Another one bites the dust.
The actual world (hollywood and brain washing excluded), you know the one where people still get to have their own opinions and it's ok if they are different; is much broader than that. This statement comes from me, a person who believes, unfortunately, popular culture is forming public opinion more so than vice versa.

I have to disagree with ya nuglet. I don't see anything racist in this thread. Like I have said, minority women have short of shunned me overall. Maybe it has to do with my interests, like metal/hard rock music, etc.
I don't have issues with anyone with their preferences. Some guys won't see a BBW, etc.
I know plenty of white girls who prefer minority men. What would you call a woman who is hispanic or black that prefers white men? You like what you like, I don't think it has to be anymore more complicated than that....

I like pussy. And I like french fries.
Though not necessarily in that order.
But, sadly, there's not a dollar menu for pussy.
At least not one that doesn't scare the shit out of me.
So, please pass the garlic salt and the malt vinegar.

The idea of getting something 'clean' dirty is insatiable for some. It's almost like a taboo....
Just my opinion.

Exotic now you know, I already told you I thought you were hot. Well that still stands. But I'm sorry girl, this statement sounds almost sociopathic. Instinctive? Man! I'm waiting for the first ship out'a here. I swear I got dropped off on the wrong planet. I mean, I get the little kid and clean room analogy but the statement throws me. Maybe I'm interpreting the words too literally. I don't know; or maybe because I'm a neat freak. LOL!
Or maybe my testosterone levels are high today! LOL!
