He deserves far worse than that. A long jail term and banned from police work for life. Loss of his pension if that's possible.
I just bet he'll get nothing more than a slap on the wrist and no criminal prosecution, no criminal record.
They'll come up with some BS to the effect that his statements were poorly worded, but that they don't constitute proof he falsified the police report.

No... I don't think so.
One of my Lawyers was a Judge at <Edit Please don't put out exact info>(is that how you spell it?) city jail where I was booked. And from the beginning, I told him that the detention officers show me the intake form (and it had been falsified). The intake form was nothing in regards to what he (the dirty cop) spoke on the stand. Also he brought in evidence from his home dresser the day on the trial. My lawyer was pissed and try to get it throwed out because it was not in police property.
*shaking my head* He about to get a piece.

Is this his Hair Club for Men picture, or is he wearing a toupe? Man this krazy image of Sheriff Jim Flournoy (peace be upon him) twirling that thing on his middle finger with the vice cop in a headlock and singing falsetto Awwwwwsssssiffffer Rocky Farts....
Remember that deck of cards with pictures of bad Iraqis at the start of the March Up? We need a vice deck.

Great idea. Maybe Capt. Yorek could be the Joker. The news video of the ASPD social bust featured an interview with him. Whoever has a link to that video might be able to pull a good closeup still of him out of it and post it.

I still don't know where the recording came from.
1. Was the cop wearing a wire to catch her? If so, why didn't he just destroy/erase the tape when it didn't say what he wanted it to? Why would he have turned it in as evidence?
2. Did she have a recorder going in the room that the cop didn't know about?
If so, does she record all of her clients?
BTW, it feels good to be under Amber!

Obviously she recorded the event. I can assure you more providers will be recording from now on too. And frankly, I think it's a great idea.

Well, I can understand ladies needing to protect themselves. However, I also want to protect myself, and that includes not having my image or voice being recorded. So I would consider it alert worthy if anyone finds out that a particular lady is recording her sessions in any way. I will certainly report it if I learn about it.

Not all concealed weapons are firearms. But, like firearms, concealed recording devices are mere tools, capable of being used for bad or good ends depending upon the motives of the user. If the girl's "getting-to-know-you" drill includes record keeping to protect herself from bad cops more power to her. If the tape falls into the hands of her mutt boyfriend, or if your concealed Glock gets grabbed by your mugger, horror will ensue. It all goes back to the character and competence of the person using the tool.
I definitely wouldn't hold her use of recording against this particular lady because it was used properly. But, as Tikkler pointed out, if we come to know through other circumstances about recordings being made, it's likely the grl is behaving irresponsibly...otherwise we would not know...so...
ALERT ON HER ASS IF THAT HAPPENS.

That's a good reason to never say anything that could be embarrassing. You can communicate the good stuff wordlessly or with a whisper.

It really helps if you're deaf...oops, I mean hearing impaired, and can't understand a damn thing a woman says...you don't have to drink as much as before and you've gotten used to grunts and signs.

The woman involved in this false arrest has a strong case in a civil suit. I would highly recommend she pursue the case since a suit that cost the city a lot of money and would greatly incent them to discourage investigations of this type. I would hope that part of the settlement doesn't include a confidentiality agreement.
Nina, unless there is firm proof in your case of your innocence, unfortunately, you would not have a strong case in a civil suit.
Personally, I would have no problem with a provider audio recording a visit for her protection. I used to work at a place where we had video cameras and there were several times that it saved my butt.
People lie and exaggerate all the time to accomplish their personal agendas. I don't do this but have been tempted to walk around with a recorder all the time just to dispute the bullshit some people dish out.
