HHMMM?
Hey Galt($60 and a quarter tip) I can only assume from your post that you are communicating with the Dead Mr Jefferson in order to interpret for us his views on Nature/God.
I can tell you this he would never accept the tyranny of today's religion, it's polluting of our political process and the political views and efforts of those who profess to believe in it.
Hey if you have saved a few extra bucks and can splurge then jump right in.
I do wonder why as a Navy Galley Cook you have a Marine Corps emoticon.
You are unworthy of that.

For 9, you've heard the phrase that life was brutal and short. That was before people decided to form communities. The founders realized that government was necessary (it is in the constitution) but it needed to be a limited government and that is why the Bill of Rights was added. Not to limit people but to limit government.
As for the other, Jefferson would have been up in arms (I am surprised that you get that CDN). At my work I have a poster up that says exactly what Jefferson said, "When people fear the government, you have tyranny. When the government fears the people, then you have liberty."
I was never a navy cook. From your educational background I figured you for the Salvation Army CDN.

Well to tell you the truth I am a supporter of the Salvation Army and the good work they do. That is no insult to me.
Okay John Galt($60 bucks and a quarter tip) maybe you did not get that high in order to carry the cook's mos. Asst Galley Cleaner or something like that.
Couldn't pass that Navy test could ya?

Ever hear the phrase of taxation without representation.
And they wanted a government to take care of them, militarily and all, but other than that, leave them alone? "Make it easy for me" and then "leave me alone". That assessment says LOADS about political philosophy. And I'm pretty sure that treasonous speech was punished before, during, and after the Revolution - so i'm not buying "say what they want". This is starting to sound like Tea Party politics - as in they really don't understand how government works.

I'm not a supporter of the Tea Party, but if they agree with me, they are probably right.

I think COG hit on something there. Many of us were supporters of limited government long before the first Tea Party rally in 2009. Some people (there are a couple here) that don't understand that. Kind of like there no socialists until Obama arrived on the scene but we know better.

Show me one link where you posted to be against big government pre-Obama. Better yet, show me one link where you posted against the expansion of the federal government, via Homeland Security, under President Bush. John, as a neo-con, and as a former petty officer in the U.S. Navy, I expect more from you than this.

I wasn't in Kansas City before Obama. I could show you some things but they have my real name on them and there are too many a**holes in this room.

You obviously don't know what a socialist is......
I wish that you could step away from your party-line rhetoric and see just how futile the concept of "limited government" actually is. As a citizen, we cede, or give over, to the government, certain miniscule portions of our personal freedoms, and money(taxes), in exchange for the communal benefits of government i.e. public works, education, policing, defense, etc.
If you were really the liimited government stalwart that you claim that you are, then you'd move to the Montana wilderness, protect yourself, make your own roads, do your own healthcare, home school, etc. etc. etc. instead of just spouting the party line "limited government" bit. "Limited Government" ,in your case, simply means that you want the government to remain uninvolved, and allow the rich, the "haves" to take advantage of the poor the "have nots". The rich use their advantage: wealth. If that's the case, then the poor should be equally able to use their advantage: numbers. Limit the government, take the police off of your speed-dial and protect yourself and your own property. Limited government, my ass.... I'd hope, at the risk of you being a poster boy for the poor voting against their own interests, that you are rich. LOL. Total income above 250,000 annually, that is. If not, you're just one of the politically, mis-informed peons of the real backers of the Conservatives - the Wealthy.

What does being in KC before Obama have to do with anything? You do understand that Obama is not just Kansas City's President but the President of the whole United States right? Hence the title the President of the United States of America. John, I doubt you were ever willing to post with your real name on any post you have ever made, so I will take your unwillingness to offer proof as further proof of your lies. Your party line rhetoric is getting old as is your posting of asinine information that you try to pass off as Gospel. I would liken you to a cheap snake oil peddler, but I find that to be insulting to the cheap snake oil peddlers of the past.

Gee, let's see. Warren Buffett, Democrat. President of GE, Democrat. Big shots at Goldman Sachs, all Democrat. George Soros, Democrat. Seems like more rich people are Democrat (Liberal) than Conservative. I wonder why?
And T9, you haven't described a limited government, you've described a corporatist government, which, IMHO, is just as bad as a communist or fascist regime, and it what prevails in the US right now. Problem is none of us have ever seen a truly capitalist, limited government. All we have is the sideshow of Corporatism which some have erroneously labeled capitalist. This conflict between liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans is all a fiction being fostered by the ruling elite to keep our eyes off of what is truly happening here. If you follow the leaders of those groups all the way up to the top, you will find a disturbing commonality of interest and ideology. And it ain't in our favor.

9, Big, and Bishop CDN please take some Ex-Lax and free up your minds. We all know my name is not really Barleycorn just as I don't think I will find KCbigpapa in the phonebook. I have been politically active for many years wherever I have lived or worked. No, I won't tell you what I've written or where it was posted (printed). Like I said too many a**holes in the room and being liberal they do stupid violent things from time to time. I also won't tell you where (location) because some things have my real name (the name my parents gave me) on them.
As far as moving to Wyoming, Idaho, or North Dakota it is something called freedom. Maybe you've heard of it? I choose to live here and I choose to live my life without interference from you or government. I will continue to make my beliefs known on this site, in the paper, and to my elected officials despite your hateful rhetoric.
Things would be so much more polite in here if you responded to the writing as written (not the way you want to spin it) and saved the insults for your children. I am sure that they take after you.
FYI, the JD does not stand for John anymore than KC stands for Karen.

Feeling Hurt?
Aw John Galt($60 bucks and a quarter tip).
You are shown disrespect here because you have earned it.
If you can't take the heat then you know get out of the kitchen.
The only people that believe in the crap you do mostly live in remote places with AK 47's and fear a New World Order. Got all your MRE's stashed for the Apocalypse?
You are a false Patriot John, and a retired Navy cook, that lives in a double wide, drives an old pickup with a gun rack and visits aging Asian women willing to touch you for the $60 you offer then you hide behind numerous false identities and plant seeds of hate on posting boards until they ban you like has happened many times before and you know it.

I call bullshit, because I am sure you posted somewhere on the internet with an alias/handle your feelings pre-Obama, but your unwillingness to show us an example of your past postings because they contradict what you are saying about your beliefs. Just admit you hate Obama and that is why you speak with such hatred about him.
As far as moving to Wyoming, Idaho, or North Dakota it is something called freedom. Maybe you've heard of it? Nope, never heard of it, please provide some detailed information on this "freedom" thing of which you speak. I choose to live here and I choose to live my life without interference from you or government. I will continue to make my beliefs known on this site, in the paper, and to my elected officials despite your hateful rhetoric. Petty officer and neo-con John Galt, you are the most hateful person I can think of in our Sandbox, not to mention dishonest. You consistently lie, you use multiple handles, and you post fake reviews. I just am curious of why you quit using the John Galt name? Were we hurting your feelings? If that was the case, we could have arranged for you long lost son, Longer Monger, to come over and give you a hug.
Things would be so much more polite in here if you responded to the writing as written (not the way you want to spin it) and saved the insults for your children. I am sure that they take after you. So the impoliteness and insults have nothing to do with you calling us assholes twice in this thread? Oops, sorry, I mean a**holes. Those two **'s really fool everyone. You are the epitome of the pot calling the kettle black.
FYI, the JD does not stand for John anymore than KC stands for Karen. John, we may not know what the "J" stands for in JD, but we sure as hell know what the "J" stands for in JG.

If that's the case, if we've never seen, or been, a truly "limited" government, how in the hell do you know what one is? Thanks for admitting that you're both partisan(Democrat this, democrat that) and a dispenser of party line rhetoric. Supporting "limited government", by your own admission, is supporting an impossibility b/c it's never existed. And just who do you support, or are you just a hopelss ideologue who's only in opposition to the current POTUS, which is what I suspect.
