The truth about the economy is that the Bankers, the Federal Reserve, and last (but not least) the Politicians have destroyed it (on purpose ?). And, we look to them to save it !!! In the meantime, the government is cracking down on our freedoms so that we can't fight back (if, and when, we wake up).

I'm Not Super Rich
But I do OK. I also work 6 days a week. I devote the vast majortity of my time to the success of my business. The men that work for me, and their famillys, are glad I am willing to put forth the effort.
Right know, since I am a widower with grown kids and everything paid for, and have no deductions or dependents, I pay about 38 cents on evey dollar I make to the Government. And, that is just my W-2 Tax withholdings, not SS and everything else.
And the Government wants more.
Makes me want to get up every morning and bust my ass.

If Robert Reich is being truthfull about the tax rates of the super rich then their rates need to be in line with the middle class but the BIGGER issue is Social spending that is Bankrupting our country! Government (as an employer) and Government Spending is out of control. Just remember that Government JOBS and Social Spending are WELLFARE pure and simple______we can't afford it! If we could afford it, we wouldn't be borrowing(or printing) money at current record levels.

I thought it was a comedy video. Good one, BL.
Really, no perspicatious individual could take anything Robert Reich has to say seriously.

Really? Why don't you refute with facts everything that was said in that video. I am sure we would all like to hear.

So he's pro-union, supports minimum wages, wants to penalize success by taxing the rich at 70%, and wants to cut deficit spending... I can agree with the last one only!
Unions had their place, but they stifle advancement. When a good teacher can't be rewarded, or a poor teacher can't be let go, it's a problem.
Minimum wages do nothing but increase the cost of the companies product or service.
Capital Gains tax @ 15%? sounds like a good way to encourage savings and personal responsibility for the future. Maybe a lesson Congress should learn, instead of constantly maxing out the American Express card.
And for over-taxing the rich? Oprah keeps track of her flights so she can avoid paying California residence taxes... The rich will find ways to avoid paying taxes - both legally and illegally.
All in all, not a very convincing video. It was just a list of talking points and the only thing connecting the dots was the line drawn on the progress bar! Go the the local library and read up on economics.

OK so what part is wrong. That the richest 400 family's in America own 20% of all wealth? Is that wrong? For a strong economy we need a strong middle class. Is that wrong? What part is wrong.
