Sem-Newbie Thread

Okay, I've pm'd a few people and I've received some nice replies. But I think I'm going to throw this out to the whole board. May be helpful to others. Please excuse the long post.

I'm a middle aged guy (quite handsome and youthful for my age . . . just saying ). Anyway, I've been lurking and only made a few posts. I have not hooked up with any providers from eccie or backpage. I have over the last few years developed friends with benefits with a few dancers from upscale clubs in the Quarter. Those friends, when you total up the full tab, ain't cheap. However, I can say I have made a few letit friends.

So, I've been thinking (for like months) about getting into the hobby through here.

My situation? I'm a self-employed professional. Married but no children. I'm known be people around the city, but no more than anyone professional who's business occasionally is public. I've never really worried about any of my dancer friends outing me or giving me trouble. There's no percentage in it for them. Plus I judge character relatively well (it's part of my real job).

Questions.

Should I get verified through 411? Is it worth it? Does it require provider references or will they do it through info I can provide?

How careful should I be about providing personal info?

I'm taking it on faith that any provider that is "verified" on this site is safe. Am I foolish to do so or does verified provider really mean something?

Or there any suggestions that anyone has for this semi-newbie?

Hey, any hot ladies want to hook up?

I sent you a welcome PM and I never heard back from you. Communication is key! But, having a P411 account will benefit you immensely! Seeing a verified provider who is newbie friendly is also a good thing. ALWAYS be careful about giving ANY personal info that could cause you harm! And if you want to find out more about the verified ladies on the board, just do a search, check her reviews, look at her posts, and you should get a pretty good idea of what kind of person she is. Anyone on BP you may be interested in can be a crap shoot, as the guys here will tell you! Especially the ones who offer $50, $80, etc. specials!
Research, choose wisely, BE CAREFUL, and have a blast!

Well welcome and since I'm certainly no 'veteran' in all the ins and outs( no pun intended ) of the hobby lifestyle I'll give you my $.02.

First, always go with your gut feeling. If it sounds to good to be true, most often it will be.

Second, monitor this site. There are a lot of great people with great advice and always willing to be helpful to each other. (I think some of the guys are friggin private detectives with how much they can find out about the history of most ladies, an extremely valuable asset, a personal thanks to you all for that btw!)

Third, there are many great providers around that are newbie friendly an only require light screening.(an option for getting references, don't forget to post your reviews)

Lastly, and most importantly imho, be very nice to the wonderful providers you meet and show them the respect you would like to be treated with and you'll have tons of fun!!! (that's been my experience thus far.)

So take it for what it's worth, again welcome, be safe and have loads of fun!!(all puns intended!)

+1 to what Nicolet said. P411 is a good idea, and also to what Shadow said...be respectful of the ladies, treat them the way you'd like to be treated, and you should have a blast!

P411 is great...but personally I prefer you to have at least one okay on there...now some of us take work verifications....as long as you can be verified that way

You're going to have to give some personal info to P411. That is ok but don't give it to anyone else. There are a few exceptions, but very few. Some guys may have to give a little info to get started, but after that don't ever give it out. If you have to reveal some personal info to get started do so only to ladies with stellar reputations. You'll be ok once you get up and going. There are plenty her with as much or more to loose as you. There are others here that are well know in their very public jobs. Just be careful and have fun.
