Ironically, I did quite well when I was a bigger gal, and I was charging $300-350 then!

The problem I've encountered since I lowered my rates (due to the economy) is that people STILL try to get a lower rate than what I've posted. (I guess they think that if you are willing to lower it once you won't mind lowering it even more for them.) At this point, I'm now making $50-$150 less per appointment than I used to (depending on if I'm touring or not) when I was 9 jean sizes bigger! So where is the logic in size being an issue?!

I guess I didn't realize she has made numerous posts about this, so I can see the frustration by those who have already contributed their thoughts about it.

What kills me are the guys who's incomes/lives have not been affected ONE BIT by the change in economy, yet they are the ones who seem to always be searching for a lower price. But then, when they see providers, they still expect the level of service to be TOP NOTCH, and if it's not, they write negative reviews complaining about it. I, for one, did not change the way I treat my clients or my level of service, but I can see where a girl might not be quite as enthusiastic when she feels she has to "settle" for what someone offers her.

Again, these are just my thoughts and opinions, so take from it what you will...

Staci, you seem to be not only a provider who has their sh*t together, but also seems to have a grasp on realities of the hobby...so NO disrespect.

But this gal, has posted similiar threads, rec'd similiar advice, and yet based upon this new thread continues to struggle with the reality of how she fits into the hobby world.

If a person is going to continue to ask for help.....then she needs to be prepare to hear some honest feedback. No pulling the Jack Nicholson's line from the movie "You can't handle the truth".

How would you as a provider feel, if I started a thread stating looking for GFE/PSE experience but my budget is $150, and I'm looking for a 3 hour experience. (Plus this is the third thread I have started, and basically have not taken to heart what

Staci Stacked, it doesn't matter a whit what you used to charge or what you're charging now. You are not the OP and she is not you. What worked for 1 person simply may not work for someone else.

I must agree with what the other guys have said because it's all true and is all just about business. No matter what the lady looks like, if she can't make money at her current price level, she needs to adjust her price. That's just Business 101. Staci, you're not dumb. You know that too but you're just hung up on the weight issue. I also think you're a bit sour because of your previous bad experience here in KC as per your recent Coed post.

If any lady can charge $1000/hr and get plenty of customers at that rate, more power to her. If a lady charges $100/hr and can't get any customers at that rate, guess what? She either needs to keep lowering her rate until she reaches her proper price level or she needs to get out of the business. It's all dependent on how bad she wants to be a provider.

I've never even checked out what she looks like, to be honest. You're right, I guess I got hung up on the weight issue and felt sorry for her in the way it was expressed that she was worth "less than" others.

Perhaps I am a little sensitive today, so maybe I shouldn't have posted at all, but I assure you it has nothing to do with my KC trip. (I'm already planning another one, actually!) I'm not looking for any sympathy or "poor me's"...but I received a letter today that said my mammogram from last October was abnormal and needs to be followed up on, and it was kind of shocking, especially to be finding out so much later. Sorry.

The truth is what you demand huh, we the truth is it was a dick statement. There was no reason to compare the two, no matter how you dress it up. I dont think she asked for her self esteem to be supported, but she also did not ask to have it destroyed either. I dont know Kat and I am certainly not a white knight, there were may ways you could give her advise that was not insulting. There's a niche for everyone. Hell there seems to be a big one for CBJ's lol, definitely not my thing lol. If there's anything more contentious than NCNS it's has to be pricing. How does one put a price on their self worth? We offen forget ( I'm guilty of this)that this is with few exceptions a means to an end for the ladys we see. Having said that price does make a difference, particularly in these times. I charge less for my services than I did in 08. that's just the way it is. I've found that price alone doesn't dictate the quality of your encounter. While any lady should charge what she thinks she can. I've offen wondered about the get all I can approach verses a happy median. With the hopes of having a larger group of returning clients. To that point a lady that I really wanted to see charged more than I wanted to spend. Then one day on 411 I saw she had reduced her price. We met, as it turned out I saw her almost every week if not more (except time outs, don't ask lol) for almost two years. The point is while that's not the norm, I was smitten, one look into those eyes lol. It would have never happened at her higher rate. Again I'm not saying that every lady shouldn't ask for what she thinks she is worth. Kat, Sweetwilliam has given you realistic advice......Daisy Carlton is on 411 as you are, ask for her advice. Take her to lunch, talk ask what works for her. Make a plan , stick to it. Know whatever changes you make, things aren't going to change over night. Times are hard and money is tight for most everyone.
