The whole bash "Bushie" thing was just a convenient ruse. The anointed one is using every trick in the playbook that they bashed in the Demomedia to deafening silence. Close Gitmo down? Rescinded! Hold "detainees" without charges? Check! Predator strikes with collateral damage? In spades! Waterboarding? Well if you look close enough (but please don't) we still haven't given it up! Invade sovereign nations? Bingo! Put American Citizens on Kill lists without trial? Yeppers and no ACLU! Troop build ups? SHHHHH! Military action against a Middle East Nation? Whoops! The Clinton Administration got the Enron/Unocal deal done in India for the power plant that was to be fed the gas transmitted over the pipeline with diplomatic/financial threats. The Taliban did meet with the Enron/Unocal folks in Sugarland.

The territory on which Afghanistan is situated has long (100's/1,000's of years) been a trading route across Asia ... that's what a pipeline is about ... Ask former Governor Palin. Put a pipeline across land that ain't easy to develope and make $$. They are all over South Texas.
