Because I only start watching this stuff when the playoffs begin (and even then usually only the last quarter), I could be way wrong.

But Dallas seems to have more talent than anybody playing right now, players 1-8. Doesn't even seem close to me.

But nothing surprises me in the NBA. I am not a conspiracy theorist. I just think the refs suck. Yeah, basketball is fast-paced, the players are huge and all that, but the refs call fouls on the perimeter completely differently from in the paint. So who can really predict anything? A couple of marginal calls here and there and the whole series can change. The Mavs should know. They've been on both ends.

Having said all of that BS, I expect Mavs to prevail in 5 or 6.

I think the Chicago Bulls would have something to say about the Heat/Celtics being the finals. Bulls have the MVP and the league's best record.

Heat and Celtics??
I think that either team left in the West could take either of them.
Miami has NO depth and the Cletics looked old and tired.
Chicago maybe the one taking a rest before the finals.
GO Mavs!

Dangerous win.

Mavs, you can't always outscore your opponents. Gotta play some D against these guys from Okie land.

yeah I agree, not to mention the Thunder shot 40+ free throws. I will consider the Mavs are a bit rusty and haven't played in awhile for some of the laziness on D. I expect Rick Carlisle to hound the Mavs about their poor D tonight. I believe the Thunder are the first team to score more than 90 points against the Mavs in the playoffs. Also, the Mavs 3 point game was almost non existent, I expect their long ball to return soon. But, I was impressed with the bench scoring 53 and Thunder only scoring 22 off the bench.

Didn't do a good job again on D and this time the shots would not fall.

Just gave the young okies some confidence.

Dangerous.

OMG... they were dead and buried tonight but they clawed their way out of the ground for the win!! Awesome. I sense a 2006 rematch on the horizon.

I sure hope Chicago can make the East a series again. We need the winner of that series to be tired.

If LeQuit James had a third of the heart that the Mavs showed last night, Cleveland would have had a championship last year.

LeFail needs to get manhandled by the Bulls tonight, Bulls are a young team with plenty of talent, they swept the Heat in the regular season so I'm hoping they can pull it out.

As for the way the Mavs pulled it out last night. Dirk had been missing shots all night. Couldn't BUY a bucket.

Then when they were down 15, it was like someone stuck a poker in his ass and shot current to his brain saying, WE WILL NOT LOSE and game on.

Impossible shots falling, nothing but net. Attitude was contagious, defense was swarming, others started to hit their own shots. There were more swishes by the Mavs in the last 5 minutes of regulation and then overtime than it seemed the entire game.

They got very confident and they won.

Terry lost the comeback opportunity for them with an uncharacteristically selfish attack on the net. Thankfully, Marion and Kidd fought back.
