What is there to in Dallas?

Greetings:

I'm vacation brainstorming. I'm looking at three cities in Texas and one in Oklahoma. Part of the obvious reason is provider access. But thats not why I'm posting the question. Other than the beautiful ladies, what does Dallas have to offer to a single guy looking to bumb around. Historical sites, museums, stuff that the normal tourist may not see. As someone who's lived in DFW, Austin and San Antonio...while spending considerable time in Laredo, Houston and Corpus Christi, I'd like to offer my $0.02 on the matter.

Go to San Antonio.

Dallas is a GREAT place to live and work. It's fantastic. The quality of life here is outstanding. However...San Antonio is the top Texas city in tourism for a reason. The historic sites are great (don't just do the Alamo and the Riverwalk, see the missions and hit the museums). If not SA, go to Corpus and hit the beach. Ten years ago, I'd have suggested Laredo, but not now. No need to get shot in a cross-border gang dispute.
