JD69, all help will be appreciated. Right now, just need input from everyone about what day of the week would work the best for the most people.

Oh, and one thing that I did forget, start and stop time for the event. Since this is going to be the first one for Laredo, I was figuring on maybe a 2pm to 8 pm time frame or so. But am more than welcome to any and all input.

Business is going to bring me back to Laredo a little quicker than anticipated.

Will be in town on Friday the 13th thru Tuesday the 17th and will try to get some more of the arrangements taken care of at that time.

If anyone would like to meet up for lunch during this time, shoot me a pm and will see how it goes.

Still looking for input as far as day of week, etc.

I'm from Laredo also! If Pepper is going I'll be going!

Yaaaaayyy, interest is picking up.

Quick recap for everyone though:

All is still in the planning stages at this time.

Please let me know what day of the week (Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday) works best. Also am looking at June at the earliest at this time. Still have a thousand other details to be worked out right now and do not wish to put the cart before the horse, so to speak.

First week of June is out for me too.

How does everyone feel about maybe June 6, 7, or 8?

Next best, June 20, 21, 22?

July may be a little far out for my schedule yet.

And, as an added incentive, I have made arrangements with one business here that I deal with to give a break on pricing, if anyone would be in the shopping mood while here. Going to talk to a couple of more in the next day or two to see if I can get them aboard also.

Still trying to get meeting with hotel manager about a price break on rooms.

Oh, and UtrSkr, what can I say but I think a bunch of guys will be drooling!!!!!

OK People, here is the deal so far (and please excuse the spelling a bit)

Just finished a 5 margarita dinner with the asst. manager and have all the following set up and ready to go:

As discussed before, a buffet for up to 50, a meeting room that will accommodate up to 100. Price of 10 dollars per plate. pretty much a standard Mexican buffet.

Rooms:
Can get a rate of 45 dollars plus tax for the out of town visitors. Total will be $51.06+/- per room in a 3 star hotel. If you wish to make your own overnight arrangements, shuttle service will be available to take you to your destination. Late check out the next day, up to 5:00 pm.

Bar is open from 5 to 10 PM if you desire something a bit stronger, but no alcohol will be served at the gathering. BYOB is allowed.

The pool would also be available for us up to 10:00 pm on the night of the social and would be reserved for us. (The image of the ladies in bikinis............)

OK people, I have done about all I can do to get a place for us to gather. And, if discretion is a concern, the meeting room is on a ground level floor that you do not have to go through the lobby to enter.

Security should be no problem since, as I have stated before, Elgato69 has graciously offered his services to do the screening.

Guys, invite some of the ladies you know. Ladies, invite some of the guys you know.

Give me some dates and we will see if we can get this thing up and running.

Added incentive to the guys.......Maya will be in attendance!
