I hope none of our friends here are near 183 and 360 today. God be with those effected.

It's definitely scary. I am literally down the street from that building, scary that it was that close. Hope everyone is okay in that building.

The building is located @ 9420 Research Blvd, its the Echelon building.

Mopac and 183.

Some streets were closed. I don't know the current status, but it appears traffic is moving again. 'Twould be a good area to stay away from from a traffic standpoint.

Appears to be one guy who was mad at the IRS.

Apparently, this is his blog and he appears to have done this on purpose.

Unhappy Sorry to hear...

...about what happened there today.

Regards from us San Antonions to you Austinites during this terrible time.

I hope the outcome fairs well for all involved and that they find the missing person alive and well.

I got a call at work from a Houston new chanel, cause the guy had a PO box 4 years ago at the mail store in the same shopping center.

The people at the mail store were getting a LOT of calls.

My mom called me from DFW to ask if I was ok. I was in Hays Co.

Despite the big national news hype, it didn't harm anyone who wasn't in the building.

Casualty count is uncertain, but approximately two injured, two dead, one missing.

A large number of windows broken out on the building, some of which may have been broken by the fire or firefighters. Looks like only a small part of the building suffered major damage apart from the broken windows and fire.

It's a big news story, but he could probably have killed more people by waiting in the parking lot in his car and running over people leaving for lunch.
