Marcus, you certainly are an optimist! I haven't taken a poll of why hobbyists hobby, but I'm not so sure that's it's all due to being *miserable.* Although, I do know some most certainly are!

I think women loose their *desire* way too soon (unfortunately) and some hobbyists just aren't ready to *give it up,* and why should they...just doesn't seem fair to me. If I were a man I think I would really struggle with this issue.

You are right in my case Nikki. I adore my wife. She has been a good wife, mother, and grandmother. I plan to grow old (er) with her. For various reasons, she has elected to not be intimate as much anymore, and I respect that. My hobbying, unknown to her, has kept us together.....

BUT, I would not want TWO of her!

gee, this is my first post, I was more of a spectator to this point. But this is such an interesting topic. My wife recently decided she wanted to try "polyamory", which I think is being married but having a relationship outside the marriage. It would take several pages to explain our marriage troubles, but I will say that it has been hard accepting this arrangement. I went to Reno last month and spent time with 2 providers and it did open me up to what new possibilities I possess. Though my job is a public one, it's would be very risky and difficult for me to seek providers in SA. I may have to travel to Austin, Dallas, and Houston. But I will say that the ladies are so much more attractive here in Texas than the in Nevada. Not sure what lies ahead for me, but I plan to take advantage of my "free pass" while I can. I have really enjoyed reading other comments from the good people of SA.

Likinikki. . . that's a fair question. I'm not sure. Being a newbie, I guess I don't want to rush into anything. I do feel more comfortable at the present time looking outside of San Antonio. Sorry if that seems weird. As to the other question, my spouse is fine about me going outside the marriage, but she has no idea yet what I have been doing.

very interesting topic Nikki. Im in a open relationship (live in girlfriend) but we do have 2 simple rules. Nobody comes to the house unless she is for both of us and no overnighters. We dont really get into details about our dates but we do try to schedule the same date nights which is about once a week. But if one has a date then the other doesnt, we have some alone time, which we both cherish.
I agree with Nikki, I used to be jealous and macho but hell, look at me now having the time of my life. Some people might say "thats not love". All I have to say is that it works for us. We've been doing this for about 6 months and so far no hiccups.
We may even take a trip to SA to visit you Nikki.

I have a middle-eastern frind whose uncle has two wives that live about a block or so apart. My friend says that there is way to much competition between the women, and if the husband buys anything for one, the other has to have the same or better. In that circumstance, I think I'd rather have no wives, and just go fishin'!

Of course, the 2nd wife (according to her) would cook, clean, watch the kids, and have frequent sex with me, while we both work. Oh, and she would sleep in the guest room.... and my wife doesn't understand why I laugh.
