It would have been a whole lot better if after the body slam, he landed a few good punches in the face.

Notice that there was another older looking kid stepping in to protect the bully? That's how they work, there's usually a pack of bullies picking on someone who isn't surrounded by an entourage.

And thus have bullies always been handled - quite effectively - until society became "pussified". I offer the award winning movie "The Bells of St Mary" (circa 1942) (Bing Crosby and Ingred Bergman). It was perfectly normal and non-controversial for the nun (Ingred Bergman) to teach one of her students to box so he could defend himself against the playground bully. Can you imagine the Hollywood "do gooder" outcry if that movie were made today?
Perhaps I reminisce too much and long for a time when common sense was much more prevalent.

I thought the bigger kid showed admirable restraint, and showed it the way restraint should be showed -- up to a point. But when it became clear that the aggressor wouldn't stop and might do real harm, he reacted appropriately. And netman, while I wouldn't have blamed the big kid for pursuing (or literally kicking the shit our of) the aggressor, again, he behaved impeccably. He had disabled the attacker and had no more reason to engage in violence. He point had been made, and made very well.
I predict that the big kid is going places in life. I'd love to meet him and whoever raised him.
However, if you look at the comments, they aren't very admirable. Typical Faux News crap.

Wow! I really appreciate that video clip.
I see bullying all the time in the classroom and halls. Of course I try to control the situation, but for the victim it doesn't end.
The sad thing is that now-a-days students get in trouble for defending themselves against bullies. The current policy is if there is a physical alteration, both students are reprimanded. It doesn't matter who hit first or what amount of restraint was demonstrated on the victim’s behalf. Students are expected to tell a teacher or administrator.
Unfortunately, administrators and school boards alike don't realize that many times it's not a issue of informing an adult, but rather the number of instances that they have to subject themselves to that type of humiliation. Most likely that wasn't the first time the larger boy on the video was confronted by the other.
Just two weeks ago the White House held a conference on the matter, what reform will happen, not sure, but I gander with the current budget deficits... NONE.

Could not have said it better my self! At some point or other I think we have all been on both sides of this scuffle -- I was the whimp most of the time.

What really sucks is he (the bullied-Casy) got suspension along with his antagonizer. Although getting ass-whipped then having the world see you get ass whipped via viral-vid could be considered worse then suspension.
The ass-whippee is said to have only a "grazed knee".
