Lack of DOGE Savings
https://apnews.com/article/doge-fede...686389889db0df
Quote:
Nearly 40% of the federal contracts that President Donald Trump’s administration claims to have canceled as part of its signature cost-cutting program aren’t expected to save the government any money, the administration’s own data shows.
The Department of Government Efficiency, run by Trump adviser Elon Musk, published an updated list Monday of nearly 2,300 contracts that agencies terminated in recent weeks across the federal government. Data published on DOGE’s “Wall of Receipts” shows that more than one-third of the contract cancellations, 794 in all, are expected to yield no savings.
That’s usually because the total value of the contracts has already been fully obligated, which means the government has a legal requirement to spend the funds for the goods or services it purchased and in many cases has already done so.
“It’s like confiscating used ammunition after it’s been shot when there’s nothing left in it. It doesn’t accomplish any policy objective,” said Charles Tiefer, a retired University of Baltimore law professor and expert on government contracting law. “Their terminating so many contracts pointlessly obviously doesn’t accomplish anything for saving money.”

Who'd had thought that it costs more money to fire workers, have nothing get done, and have things get done slowly while you're training a new hire up.
Like, anyone who owns a business or has ever trained a newbie at their job knows how long it takes for a greenhorn to be able to work on their own. Smart people tend to have you train your replacements first before they fire you.
It's the stupid people who do the scream test. Unplug everything, then wait for people to scream that things stop working.

So 60% has worked well, and remaining contracts won’t get renewed. Works for me. Crazy that people are so retardedly anti Trump that they’ll cry about their own money not being wasted on studying the environmental impact of Transylvanian butt plug lubricants.

Getting ahead of yourself on the 60%
We haven't even gotten into whether the claimed savings are real. You'll be shocked to learn that DOGE is double-counting and making very suspect claims. Like claiming $1m in savings for a contract that was never going to hit the max cap and was only going spend $50k.
Meanwhile, letting paid for food sit and rot and canceling additional orders from farmers while also slowing or freezing payments to them which in some cases have crushed small farmers who now find themselves in a major cash crunch.
Butt by all means focus on your fictional plugs

DOGE is a scam and anyone willing to do the slightest bit of independent thinking can see that. It would take at least a month to audit a single government OFFICE, much less a full department. A handful of tech bros with no audit or accounting experience, and no understanding of the agencies are not identifying savings. They’re simply deciding not to pay the bills.

Brother, I was just about to make the same topic!
https://newrepublic.com/post/192036/...ge-saved-money
It turns out, simply classifying things that you don't like doesn't make it fraud.
They've cost the government tens of millions of dollars already by gutting critical employees.
But sure, continue to keep your heads in the ground because its fine. You'll be all wite, surely. lol

Doge goes scorched earth style with no plan. Then has to hire back employees.
This is lack of knowledge lack of planning lack of goals and lack of leadership.

For anyone to believe the source of facts, AP is a left leaning so-called news source.
AP is rated -3 of a max of -6 leaning left of center.
