Except we don’t make money on war, other than a select few. Destroying shit to enrich a handful of contractors is a misallocation of resources that could be used for something good.

BOOM! Ukrainian President Zelensky just fact-checked Trump like never before! "No, Mr. Trump, it was you in 2016!" Watching Trump sit there looking depleted and embarrassed is a reminder that the truth always prevails.
JD Vance and Trump are having an unprecedented meltdown in the Oval Office—what a sight! It's a clear display of their pathetic weakness. America deserves better than this chaos! Trump only cares about saving Vladimir Putin's life.
Did anyone count how many times Trump mentioned Biden?

Do we make money off the sale of arms to "Allies". You know the ones we have clearly shown we can't be trusted to be depended on? Yes, hundreds of millions. And if they aren't looking for somewhere other than the US for those, they are stupid...they aren't.

LOL, you know nothing about economics, proven by every Biden supporter everyday.
Zelensky played the fool Biden to keep getting money.
Europe won't do anything because they like the liberal idiots to spend the U.S. money so they don't have to.

Trump was not able to handle the truth so he went off on a bizarre tirade.

I can't believe that was actually caught on cameras. That was ridiculous and strange to watch. That was some really bad reality TV. I look forward to when this shit show is cancelled.

We will just have to wait and see how this plays out.
I am a child f the coldest parts of The Cold War. I helped my father build a bomb shelter in our basement in the 1960s. In grade school we practiced "sheltering in place" (under our desks!) for a nuclear attack. I lived through the uncertanty and fear of the Cuban Missle Crises. Ltaer on we all found out that it was really much closer to an nucleasr war that we thought .
So I am rooting for Ukraine and really hope this can be resolved in their favor . . .soon.
A few other thoughts do come to mind though:
"Friends" do not always have our best interests in mind.
"Enemies" can have incentives and goals of their own that do parallel our best interests.
The situation in Ukraine absolutely is serious and needs attention. However,China is the biggest threat to wold peace just now.
Having a working relationship, but not a friendshiP, with whoever is running Russia today or in the future would go far in moderating the Chinese aggression in Asia and the Pacific.
Packistan and India are in play on land. Every island natin in the Pacific is too. And it is not just imperial aggression. Itg is my belief that China has economic domination of every country that matters at heart.
So, in the big picture, Ukraine, Zlinski and Russia's desire for a warm water port on the Black Sea is really small potatoes. There are other, much larger fish to fry.

Yep, but the mainstream press and Democrats in DC are basically proving they love insanity as they keep repeating the same failed policies of the past. Reminds me of when Reagan walked away from a Nuclear deal the Soviet Union. Reagan was proved right by Democrats try to rewrite that history all the time because they can't admit they were wrong.

Well, as someone who actually knows Economics and works in that field i can 100% tell you that you are truly misinformed to the point that your ignorance can only be outshined by your stupidity. The policies of Biden and in fact just about every Democratic president for the last 50 years has always led the US into a stronger economy both locally and globally, while the policies of tRump and every Republican president since Nixon has led the local/global economy to a recession. Nixon taking the US off the gold standard paved the way for Reagan's trickle down economics platform and pushed the US towards hyper-inflation. I could go into more detail but i can guarantee that you don't even understand what I've written thus far.

It doesn't matter if Trump tells Putin to send his troops home, or pumps massive amounts of arms into Ukraine, or European troops enter the war. Russia is dead set on not losing this war, and it won't. If the USA had been willing to start carpet bombing civilians or use nuclear weapons, it wouldn't have "lost" in Vietnam or Afghanistan. And Russia is so disposed if backed against a wall.
The two sides need to find a face saving way to exit the madness. This war isn't benefiting anyone, except the arms manufacturers.

That's what I initially thought. Then I watched the whole video, of the 50 minute press conference.

Will have some comments later today when I get a break.

Who do you work for, the DNC?
You haven't participated in this thread enough to know, so I'll provide a word of caution. The moderator is intent on keeping threads on topic and gives points for getting off topic. You should create a new thread if you want to discuss this. I'd suggest you put "Calling out Texas Contrarian and Lusty Lad" in the title. They're the two brightest minds on economics on this board. You might just end up with an interesting discussion, although at the risk of getting your ass kicked.
