Yeah, they ain't doing great.

The cost of consumer goods in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania includes food, housing, utilities, transportation, and healthcare.
Food
A bottle of milk costs about $4.52
A dozen eggs costs around $4.04
A pound of potatoes costs around $5.16
Bread costs around $3.73
Steak costs around $14.13
Ground beef costs around $5.86
Housing
The average rent in Pittsburgh is $1,318 per month, which is 15.3% lower than the national average Ain't no big secret why that is.
Utilities
Utilities cost around $1,045 per month, which is 22.2% higher than the US average
Transportation
Transportation costs around $1,089 per month, which is 7.1% higher than the US average

And since the CPI is not going down, those grocery numbers are the same. Bet salty keeping mum on that bodega he counts his pennies (while they still have them) at.

Salty is either being cute, or doesn't understand advertising. Since he is a fan of Mr. Trump, he knows well the effectiveness of false advertising.

The phrase "LOWER prices" means absolutely nothing. That is why stores use it.

The CPI and other statistical data will give the true picture.

Well, if you insist on blaming higher prices on a politician, blame them on Biden. Trump's been president for what, all of 25 days?

You should fall down on your knees every morning and thank the Almighty you live in a state run by Republicans. Pennsylvania is purple. It's not too bad. In California, a state run by progressives, costs are 38% higher than the national average! Gasoline and electricity costs, rent, mortgage payments, they're through the roof.

At least Trump has some vague realization he's not so all-powerful...

The point here is President Trump campaigned on a promise to reduce prices, and that is a major factor on why citizens voted for him and why he was elected.

What time frame should be considered to see if he fulfills that promise.....6 months, a year ?

Are you that naive VitaMan, to believe everything that comes out of Trump's mouth? You can't believe any politician. And that goes double for Trump. Triple.

Consumers also say that inflation will rise. Americans' expectations of inflation over the next year have soared, according to the University of Michigan's consumer sentiment survey. The February survey said that inflation this year will be 4.3%, up sharply from 3.3% the previous month. Many respondents mentioned tariffs as a concern.

Remember this? Maybe this is why Donald's 'honeymoon days' are so few.

“Starting on Day 1, we will end inflation and make America affordable again,”

Even Trump's press secretary expressed some doubt on that one

Last week, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters that the president is “doing everything he can” to reduce high consumer prices in the U.S. But when asked how long that might take and whether Americans would have the patience to wait for the administration’s moves to take effect, she said, “I don’t have a timeline.”

Tiny is absolutely correct when he says Biden is to blame for the continuing and persistent inflation.

In January, the Consumer Price Index increased by 0.5%, surpassing economists' expectations. Year over year, consumer prices are up 3%, an increase from 2.9% reported in December. Compared to a year ago, core prices increased by 3.3%, surpassing forecasts for a decline. Persistent inflationary pressures have even led to speculation about future rate hikes, instead of rate reductions.

No. You are forgetting this is now the Trump administration. What is it doing to lower prices ?

Looks like...nothing. That was their campaign promise to lower prices.

In fact their policies look like it will cause prices to stay the same or even....increase.

Where were you during the last 4 years of the Biden administration? I don't remember hearing one peep out of you about inflation. Inflation doesn't happen overnight and it sure as hell does not go away overnight. Expecting a new president to fix all the problems of the previous administration in one month is beyond ridiculous. The rules of this forum prevent me from fully expressing how idiotic I think this is.

No problem giving President Trump more time. Instead of Day 1, will it be 6 months before prices start declining.......a year ?

Oh, NaCl-y knows what he is doing. And I love it. Just give a reason to keep posting FACTS that should make a dog run away with their tail between their legs. But not NaCl-y!

I thank you for keep on showing how that 20% got the Big Cheato in office.

He said IMMEDIATELY. I cut him slack on some promises but donny2.0 is true to the nature of 1.0 Should start a thread for predicting what the Truth-o-Meter is going to rate this time around.
